Reds War Prisoners VATICAN CITY, (Radio, NC) L'Osservatore Ro- mano, Vatican City daily, has accused the Soviet govern- ment of withholding the truth about the fate of Italian prisioners of war held in the Soviet Union. L'Osservatore was commenting on reports brought back by Giuseppe Pollifonte, an Italian soldier who es- caped from a Russian concentration camp. Pollifonte told of an estimated 5,000 Italian soldiers who are still held prisoner in the camp of which he escaped. 450 Priests Imprisoned KOENIGSTEIN, GERMANY Between 450 end 500 Catholic priests are currently being held in the dungeons and concentration camps of communist Czecho- slovakia, according to reports received here. First Mass On Atomic Sub First Mass to be celebrated on a nuclear-powered

vessel submerged, is offered by Captain Donald F. Kel­ly, CHC, USN, Force Chaplain, Submarine Atlantic Fleet. The Mass was celebrated on the USS Seawolf, and was attended by members of the "over and under" Navy. In all, approximately 50 officers and enlisted men attended, coming from the Naval Air Force, Quon-set Point, R. I., and including members of the U. S. Naval Submarine Base, New London, Conn., and the crew of the USS Seawolf. Father Kelly is of the Arch­diocese of Chicago. (NC Photos)
