Weathering the Winter’s chill

At this time of year, most of our dairy clients have dried off and are planning a well earned break.

The past season has had its ups and downs while the payout has been a lot better than most predicted, milk production has not been as good in some areas due to the dryer climate. Ironically, now most farmers in the area have had enough of the recent rain.

Fonterra’s recent announcements for the forecast payout for next season is very good news for the area and will give farmers confidence when working out budgets for the coming season.

DeLaval Liners and Tubing

CCMP Stock Feeders

CCMP offers great savings on the entire range of DeLaval branded liners and rubber tubing.

Unlike the myth, liners do not perform better once they’re worn in. It is extremely important to start the milking season off with new liners as, just like car tyres, they start to wear out from the first day they are fitted and their performance can deteriorate to the point that they can be harmful to your cows. Talk to CCMP about getting the best liner combination that achieves optimum performance from your equipment for you and your cows…all at a great price.

With winter fast approaching, our range of stock feeders are proving very popular.

Currently, we have not had any increase in the cost of our materials and our manufacturing team is extremely efficient at producing them. This has meant we can still offer quality feeders at a competitive price. CCMP can also build customized feeders if you require and we have curved corrugated iron in stock if you have round feeders that need replacement iron.

Give us a call or check out the range on our website.

Milking Machine Testing and Servicing The off season has proven to be a busy time for the team at CCMP.

Our machine test promotion has been extremely well supported; and our team has carried out nearly three times the amount of tests compared to this time last year. This also allowed us to get a head start on any of the maintenance work required to keep your equipment running efficiently.

A milking machine test is a relatively inexpensive way of identifying parts of your milking machine that need attention, parts that if left alone can cause health problems for your cows and compromise your milk quality. CCMP have a team of five MPTA qualified testers, Craig (Clu), Aaron, Denis, Susannah and, recently, Thomas. If you still do not have your machine test booked in, give the team at CCMP a call.

To find out if your machine tester is qualified to test and adjust your milking machine, check out the list of registered milking machine testers on the MPTA web site www.nzmpta.co.nz.
