theSTORYSTORYIn 1982 Bill Longman, President of Euro-Rite Cabinets,
started manufacturing and selling bathroom vanities from his home
in Coquitlam, British Columbia. From this humble beginning,
Euro-Rite has become the largest Canadian cabinet manufacturer
West of Winnipeg.
Bill believes that customer loyalty is won by providing the best
value for money in the cabinet industry.
Based on this tradition we are proud to introduce Euro-Rite’s
new Closet line.
Euro-Rite closets are designed for both contractors and Do-It-
Yourself enthusiasts. Our stackable Ready to Assemble (RTA) units
can be used alone or in a multitude of combinations to increase
your storage space and get you organized. Flexibility is provided
with the use of doors, drawers, extra shelves and hardware options.

The PROGRAMThe PROGRAMStep 1 introduces the closet components and accessories
off ered in this program.
Closet organizers are typically made up of modules. Fig.1
shows the six basic modules used in closet organization, with some
typical uses.
Any combination of these modules can be put together
to create a custom closet organizer. Fig.2 displays some basic
confi guration samples.
Th e product codes required for each module are located to
the bottom right of the illustrations in Fig.1 and refers to the
components listed on page 2. NOTE: “CLP”s shown in white are
not included in parts list.

A CLP is required to support modules A-E where there
is no module F to their left and right. A single CLP can
support a module on the left and right side. See Fig.5
IMPORTAN TIMPORTAN T
Closet organizer is 83 ½" high
Closet organizer depth is 14 ½" except for corner units
and 20" deep shelf units
(A)(A) DOUBLE SHORT HANGINGProbably the most common in closet organization.
Two short hanging rods maximizes hanging space
for shirts, blouses, pants and sports coats.
2–CLFS 2–CLROD
(B)(B) LONG HANGINGThis module is intended for housecoats, long
dresses and gowns.
2–CLFS 1–CLROD
(C)(C) SEMI-SHORT HANGINGThe hanging length here is ideal for short dresses,
pants hung by the cuff and coats. There is still space
for folded clothes in the shelving above.
1–CLUS 1–CLROD
(D)(D) SHORT HANGING WITHSHELVES ABOVE
A good combination of shelving and short hanging.
Folded clothes are easily accessible while still
providing space for hanging items.
1–CLUS 1–CLFS 1–CLROD
(E)(E) SHORT HANGING WITHSHELVES BELOW
A good combination of shelving and short hanging. The shelving provides space for shoes and accessories (such as drawers and baskets for clothing items).
1–CLUS 1–CLFS 1–CLROD
(F)(F) SHELF TOWERMaximum shelf space for folded clothes. Extra
shelves, drawers and baskets can be added. Can
also be duplicated with corner and 20"deep units.

CLUS are standard shelf units(used in modules C to F in Fig.1)
CLBS is a deep shelf unit (used in modules E or F in Fig.1) most useful in walk-in closets. It allows for deeper drawers. A CLBS can be stacked on itself or can have a CLUS–2 stacked above it. See Fig.3
CLCS is used in module F (Fig.1). This unit is reversible and works best in walk-in type closets. It can also be used for reach-in closets where the closet is more than 20" deep and the return is less than 15". See Fig.4

CLFS–1 or CLFS–2 (used for modules A, B, D and E see Fig.1). When used in modules A and B, a CLFS can be cut down to fi t any space smaller than its outside dimension.
CLFS–3 can only be used for modules A and B (Fig.1).A CLFS–3 can be cut down to fi t any space smaller than it’s outside dimension.
CLROD–1 or CLROD–2 are required for modules A to E (Fig.1). The same size CLROD should be used to match the size of CLUS or CLFS. E.g. If a modules uses two CLFS–2, then that module will require two CLROD–2.
CLROD–3 can be used only with a CLFS–3 in modules A or B (Fig.1).

MEASURINGMEASURINGStep 2 guides you through measuring various types of closets.
REACH-IN CLOSETCLOSET INSIDE DIMENSIONS
Width (A)
Height (B)
Depth (C)
Most Reach-in closets have doors. Either Bi-fold, or By-pass. Fill out the dimensions in the area according to the door type you have. If your closet has no doors at all, then use the Bi-fold section. Return (D1 & D2) will now be to the edge of the opening (if you have a return at all).
BY-PASS DOOR OPENINGDIMENSIONS
Return (D1)
Return (D2)
Width (E1)
Width (E2)
Height (F)
To measure By-pass door openings, move doors to the right to get measurement (E1) and then to the left to get measurement (E2). Measurements (D1) and (D2) will be from the inside of the left and right wall to the edge of the door opening. Total width = (E1+E2+D1+D2).
BI-FOLD DOOR OPENINGDIMENSIONS
Return (D1)
Return (D2)
Width (E)
Height (F)
When measuring a Bi-fold door opening, make sure the doors are resting open. Measurements (D1) and (D2) will be from the inside of the left and right wall to the edge of the door at the opening. Total width = (D1+D2+E).

Return (C2)
Walk-in type closets are simple to measure since the door opening does not usually affect the design. Just fi ll in the required measurements and you are ready to move to the next step!

TIP
It is best to have the closet
empty of clothes when
measuring. Th is will allow
you to see obstacles like
baseboards or plumbing access
panels that may aff ect your
design. If you have baseboards,
you can take them out, or you
can notch the bottom of the
closet panels and gables to fi t
around them.
TIP
Walls are rarely square, fl at or
level. When measuring Width
(A), it is always best to measure
in various places (top, middle,
bottom). Take the smallest
measurement and subtract ½" if
it’s under 6ft, ¾" if it is 6-10ft
and 1" if it is over 10ft. This
will ensure a problem free fit!
DESIGNINGDESIGNINGTh is step will help you design your closet by showing design samples and off ering design
tips. Drawing out your closet helps visualize a design and provides a plan to follow when it
comes to the installation.
Fig.10 shows a design with one of each of the six basic modules from Fig.1 (A to F) and
the components used for each module. A design grid is provided for your use at the end of
this section. You don’t have to be an artist to draw a design. What’s important is using the
correct measurements (from Step 2) to create a design that fi ts your closet and your needs.

TIP
Only components CLFS(1-3)
and CLROD(1-3) can be cut
down to fi t a custom width.
Th at means only modules A
and B can be cut down to fi t a
custom width. A typical closet
will have at least one of either
of these modules.
TIP
Th ere are fi ve CLP components
in Fig.10 (highlighted in
orange). A CLP is required to
support modules A to E where
there is no module F to the left
or right. A CLP is ⅝" wide.
TIP
It is best to design a closet
with shelving in open
accessible areas. For example,
with Bi-fold doors, shelving
is best near the center of the
closet while hanging is to the
sides. With By-pass doors,
shelving is best near the sides,
making sure accessories like
drawers or baskets can be
added without having them hit
return walls or doors.

In Fig.12, Closet #1 meets Closet #2 using a CLFS–1. The CLFS–1 will have to be cut down. 10" to 12" should be enough room to leave access to clothes in the opposing closet.
Closet #2 and #3 are joined with a corner tower (2 x CLCS).
DESIGN EXDESIGN EXAMPLEAMPLETIP
Sometimes it can be useful to
draw a fl oor plan (top view) of
a walk-in closet. Fig.11 shows
the fl oor plan of the sample
walk-in closet.
TIP
Closet organizers meet at the
corners of the walk-in closet.
There are two ways to design
this transition (Fig.12 & 13).
