It’s time, once again, to sneak a peek in that most personal space of people’s closets. While the fashion industry is touting all the latest and greatest, our

three closet confidantes each definitely flaunt their own style.

From mass merchandise to luxury brands, from stilettos to cowboy boots, from logos to handmade finds, it’s all part of fashion, and our September guests tell us how to make it work.

Wow! You have a lot of shoes.I love shoes. I even converted my linen closet

to a shoe closet. Christian Louboutin is definitely my favorite shoe designer. They fit a woman’s foot very beautifully. They’re indulgent treats! I also have a pair of Jimmy Choo’s that I call my Cinderella shoes. They were sitting in a window at the store with the lights shining on them. They drew me in and I just had to have them! I can wear something simple with them and people go crazy. I also love L.A.M.B. I just got turned on to the brand and they’re so comfy. I prefer a round toe to a pointy toe because they make your feet look smaller.

I also have a very casual side of me, as you can see by the red sneakers. And, I have a pair of Tessa Clogs that I got in Aspen that were handmade for me. They’re perfect with the right outfit. I see you also have a lot of boots.

Yes, coming here from Aspen, I do have a reasonable boot wardrobe. I’m all about furry boots, all synthetic fur of course. I don’t believe in wearing real fur, plus synthetic fur is so nice and some synthetics are actually more expensive than the real thing!

Some of my favorite boots are Juicy Couture and Anna Michelle. They’re so beautiful and they fit so well. What’s your most sentimental item?

It would definitely have to be a black Dolce and Gabbana dress that I wore to my best friend’s rehearsal dinner. We’ve known each other since we were two years old.Your jewelry is beautiful!

Thank you! I’m actually the model for Gulten Dye jewelry, so I always have a great selection to wear. I see a lot of handbags in your closet, too.

Yes, I love handbags! My favorite is Chanel, but for business I love Burberry because it’s so classic. I also love the original Louis Vuitton monogram bags.Who is your favorite designer?

Hmmm…I definitely like the luxury brands. Dolce and Gabbana. Gucci. My style changed when I moved to Las Vegas. Girls dress up more here when they go out. I can

wear things I couldn’t before. My favorite colors are rich reds, yellows and oranges. I feel they’re so luxurious!

I’m all about taste. I have legs and I show them! I think it’s important for women to feel they’re gorgeous and wear what they want and express themselves. What’s your go-to outfit?

I’m a girly girl, a dress girl and I like very romantic things. I probably have 10 black dresses. They’re easy to dress up with jewels and change the way they look. What’s your favorite outfit?

Probably the rose color Cavalli dress. I love him! His designs are very feminine and beautiful; they fit well and are classy. You should be able to feel sexy and sensual but still be tasteful. What’s your most memorable outfit?

For my launch party at Eleven Spa when I first moved here, Billionaire Mafia created a

$45,000 dress that is so elegant! It’s black and encrusted with diamond crystals. It looked heavy when I first saw it but it moved very well with my body. It’s strapless with buttons up the front and a beautiful train. What’s the oddest thing in your closet?

I actually keep a basket of fashion magazines in my closet. I like to come inside and read them while I’m getting ready. I’ll sit for about 10 minutes and get ideas. It’s very comfy and peaceful.Do you have a baseball cap collection?

Those are actually designed by me. You can purchase them on my website www.amysheartafterdark.info. I think workout girls need a little bling and playfulness. I love when I go to workout and I see girls wearing my hats. What’s missing from your closet?

I love Gucci bags and boots, so I’d definitely like to add those to my closet. q

What’s your go-to outfit? For work, it’s definitely about suits, although

sometimes they can be on the casual side. I spend lots of time on the floor with kids, so I need to wear things that are professional but comfortable. During my off time, I like to wear dresses. For night, I like Halston. I collect the new Halston Heritage line. They’re very comfy and you can easily change the look with accessories.

For daytime casual, I like linen pants, a tank top, a funky necklace and flats. In Chicago, I had a very polished, chic urban look with lots of boots and gloves. Are all your clothes in this closet?

No, this is my current rotation. I call this my dressing closet. I have clothes in all the closets in my house, and I switch them out seasonally. A lot of work clothing remains constant.

I’m very sentimental about my clothes, so I keep a lot of them because they have a particular memory for me. I’m trying to get a bit better at purging, by following the one year rule. However, I still have my eighth grade cheerleading outfit! I try to clean through everything at least once a year. After all, we all make bad decisions. What’s the oddest thing in your closet?

Now that I work for a university, I have to keep academic regalia to wear for graduations. What’s your most sentimental item?

Definitely all my family photos. My family is 2,000 miles away in the Midwest, so by far, that’s the most important to me.

I also have a vintage rhinestone necklace and bracelet from my great grandmother. Who are your favorite designers?

I’m all over the map, from Target to the high-end. Handbags used to be Dior, but now it’s all about Louis Vuitton. The epi is my favorite because when people comment that they like my bag, they are so surprised to discover it’s a Vuitton. I’m not into the logo stuff. They are expanding the line and I like the shapes of the handbags they have.

My biggest weakness is Christina Louboutin shoes. They are surprisingly comfortable. When I wear the Louboutin boots, the doctors

at work tell me I’m breaking my back, but I can wear them for 12 hours! They conform to your foot and they are so comfortable. What do you do for accessories?

Currently, I’m into brooches. I feel they’re underrepresented. I put them out so I can see them and remember to wear them. I found the pug pins and just love to look at them! I’m also into long beaded necklaces. You can put on a simple dress or a tank with one of the necklaces and look great.

My next frontier accessory-wise is cufflinks. I wear a lot of French cuff shirts for work, so why do the cufflinks have to be just for the boys?If someone came into your closet, what type of person would they think lives here?

I’m sure it looks like I’m a little high maintenance and a little bit overly organized, but I can generally say that I’m a laidback kind

of gal and definitely not high maintenance. I just like to be able to see what I have and grab things quickly.Tell me about the white gown.

That’s actually very special. I was honored by the Grant a Gift Autism Foundation as Autism Ambassador of the Year. I’m very privileged to do what I do but to have the community honor me is very special. The gown will hang here for eternity. What do you feel is missing from your closet?

This fall I’ll be all over the lady-like structured shifts. I’m also into handbags, and I’m liking gloves for style, not for warmth. I think they add an elegant touch, a throwback to the “Mad Men” era.

Vegas is such a melting pot of style. It’s definitely an underrated style city. There is that Vegas element of sparkly crystals, but you can really pull off nearly anything here. q

Stars as Nala in “The Lion King” playing at Mandalay Bay

What’s your go-to outfit?For everyday, I love long sundresses. I like

to look sophisticated and elegant. On spunkier days, I like short, flowy sundresses. One of my favorite outfits is a Catherine Malandrino dress. I wear it with sparkly shoes that are a showstopper! In New York, I would wear this silk flight suit all the time, but I hardly ever wear it here in Vegas. What’s your favorite outfit?

I love them all! I’m a pretty practical person. I’m practical but elegant. I love fashion. When I shop, I just buy what looks good on me regardless of which brand it is. I do love things of quality more so than quantity. I wear everything I have or else I give it away. How does your New York wardrobe differ from the one in Las Vegas?

In New York, I wear a lot of boots, lots of sweaters. It’s all about the layers. I did bring a few items here because I was surprised at how cold it can get in the winter. In New York, I have tons of hats and scarves, but not so much here. What’s your most sentimental item?

I have a sundress that I purchased at Sandwich. My husband actually picked it out. It means a lot when he picks things out for me. He’s my eyes when I’m not quite sure about purchasing something.

I also have the dress I wore opening night in Denver, Colorado. It’s a Sue Wong yellow chiffon with sequins and beading. What’s the most unusual thing in your closet?

I have a very special sweater that was knit by a friend who is in the Broadway company of “The Lion King.” I would see her going in and out of the dressing room with yarn and needles, but I had no idea what she was up to. It’s cinched at the waist, and it’s made in the same color as the rafiki costume.

I appreciation anyone who hand makes things. I support people who do their own thing and do a good job. Who are your favorite designers?

I love Joe’s jeans. I also love Nicole Miller. Her dresses fit really well.

Explain your shoe wardrobe.I wear Birkenstocks every day. I also work

out a lot, so I have shoes for that. I have a pair of Golden Goose cowboy boots that I bought from Barneys. I love Barneys! I also love Christian Louboutin because they’re so classy, and Marc Jacobs shoes are great, too. For fun I have some comfy boots that are like Uggs and motorcycle boots. What do you do for accessories?

I have a lot of handbags. I’m always looking for the unique rather than the popular brand. I

have a clutch I found in Argentina at a market. When I use it I remember where I bought it and it brings back good memories.

I have lots of scarves and headpins. My hair is always tied in some sort of scarf. For jewelry, one of my favorite designers is Theresa Nguyen. What’s missing from your closet?

I love Alexander McQueen and I’d love a long evening coat to go over my flowy dresses! I hate when you’re out for the evening and you have a long dress with a short coat. q
