CGB Students Test Better Than National Average Those tests that the teachers tell you to do your best on, like PLAN and EXPLORE, actually matter!
This year’s test results show that our CGB eighth graders had higher results on the EXPLORE test in
the areas of English, Math and Science than students in the rest of the country! Sophomores took the PLAN
test and they did better than other sophomores nationally in English, Math, Science and Reading!
So, everybody keep up the great work and the next time you’re facing one of those long, boring tests,
remember it is just another opportunity to show what a great school we have!

On Tuesday the basketball boys played the Ortonville Trojans in Ortonville. It was a
hard game for the boys and, unfortunately, they came up short with a score of 70-23. The boys
played hard but the size of the Ortonville Trojans was a huge factor in the game. They will take
on the Battle Lake Battlers tomorrow in Battle Lake. Battle Lake has been extremely good the past few years
so it will be a hard game for the boys. Make sure you go to the game; the fan support can make a big differ-
ence!
Today the wrestlers head to Osakis for a dual. The boys went 3 in 4 on Saturday at Milbank. They
won against Milbank, Sisseton and (). Due to bad weather, we postponed the match against Kimball.
The hockey team has played Red Wood Falls and lost to them 2 to 1 on Monday and then they
played Breckenridge Wahpeton on Tuesday and won 5 to 0. On Saturday they play Luverne.

Kevin Love plays in the NBA for the Cleveland Cavaliers
in 2014. He is a three-time All-Star and holds the longest streak
for consecutive games recording double figures in points and re-
bounds. Kevin Love is the son of former NBA player Stan Love.
Love is from Santa Monica, California. As a child, he
would practice his bounce passes with a cardboard box and study
tapes of Wes Unseld. Love was definitely a high school basketball
star! In July 2006, Love started playing at UCLA. In 2008, he en-
tered the NBA draft and was drafted by the Timberwolves.
