Clinical Workflow Specialist I/II Community Health Works Community Health Works (CHW), a non-profit Regional Center for Health Innovation, located in Macon Georgia is seeking applicants to fill the position of Clinical Workflow Specialist in its Macon office. CHW has been tasked by the Federal Government to act as a Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center (HITREC) sub-grantee for Central Georgia and work with physicians throughout a 23 county area to assist them in selection, implementing, and becoming meaningful users of Electronic Health Records (EHR). As CHW expands its capacity to serve as the HITREC for Central Georgia, the company hopes to hire qualified Clinical Workflow Specialists to work full time servicing Central Georgia. Tier I and II positions are available. This position will be salaried based on qualifications. Applicants should submit a resume, cover letter, references, and salary requirement. General Duties:

Educate providers, practice managers, and other key staff on Meaningful Use Objective. Educate providers, practice managers, and other key staff on EHR Incentive Programs

and payment terms. Evaluate current clinical and administrative workflows and make recommendations to

assist in achieving Meaningful Use. Work with practices and vendors to overcome technical obstacles to attestation of

Meaningful Use.

Requirements:

Significant Experience with Electronic Health Records is required Technical education in clinical area, (MA, LPN, RN, etc) or related liberal arts education

(AA/AS or BA/BS/BSN); though experienced practice managers without significant clinical education are also encouraged to apply.

Minimum experience: A total of 4 years of combined experience and education are required as a minimum. Clinical and practice management / administrative experience is preferred.

Minimum of 1 year of leading or participating in small to medium-scale initiatives and projects

Demonstrated technical problem solving skills and a customer service focus Excellent communication and consensus building skills Ability to work with business executives and communicate technical information in easy

to understand business terms Advanced training and/or education with a technology environment Reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed at IRS rate) (regular travel of less than 100

miles will be expected.

Differentiating Factors:

EHR/EMR Power User status strongly preferred Extensive experience and knowledge of Meaningful Use and EHR Incentive programs is

preferred but not required. A successful applicant with significant clinical or practice management experience who possesses significant EHR/EMR experience is not required to have experience in Meaningful Use or the EHR Incentive Programs. Qualified applicants can be trained in these areas.
