CLINICAL PASTORAL EDUCATIONSUMMER AND EXTENDED UNITS – 2019-2020
This innovative CPE program integrates adult group
learning and clinical practice throughout Trinity’s
Continuing Care Retirement Community. Students
develop pastoral competence in pastoral ministry
through theological reflections, didactic speakers,
video and book seminars; student learning
covenants, verbatim presentations, projects,
evaluations and self-reflective process learning.
CPE students serve as chaplain interns in
rehabilitation, memory care, skilled nursing,
assisted living and independent living.
Focusing on creating abundant life for elders,
Trinity provides pastoral care for residents,
families and the interdisciplinary team.
Chaplain interns also lead weekday and
Sunday worship services at Trinity.
