0/2Sea surface temperatures observed for the month were near average over most of the tropical Pacific Ocean, however, Niño 4 region showed a warmer SST (~1 to 1.5ºC SST anomaly). Likewise, SSTs near Malaysia, Singapore Brunei, and the Philippines were mostly near average.

• ENSO-neutral condition continues to persist across

tropical Pacific Ocean;

• Majority of the climate models predict ENSO-

neutral condition will be likely until September

2020.

• ENSO Alert System Status: INACTIVE
