Before using WebPhone, be sure your computer meets the following minimum recommended requirements:
Adobe Flash: Adobe Flash 9 (or greater)
Audio: Microphone and earphones or headset with mic
Internet Browser: Browser supporting Flash 9 or greater.
Enable your mic or headset as per your system directions.

When your call is completed, click on the Hang Up button or close the window in your browser.
To call another WebPhone number, click on the Refresh button, click or type the numbers, and then click the Dial button.
Faculty & Sta�
To include WebPhone in your UVic Telephone Directory listing, email signature and instant messages, you must �rst opt-in for the service.
Login to uSource (https://usource.uvic.ca), click on the Faculty & Sta� tab --> Personal --> View/Edit Directory Pro�le, and follow the instructions provided. Once you have successfully subscribed to WebPhone, you will be assigned a unique service identi�er (e.g., uvic-1234). Your service identi�er will appear in your UVic Telephone Directory listing the next business day.
You can then copy your service identi�er from uSource or the UVic Telephone Directory, and paste it into your email signature. Callers will then be able to click on the WebPhone link and call you directly at no cost. When you receive a WebPhone call on your o�ce telephone, it will be displayed as 15XXX.
Departments
WebPhone can be added to any UVic website, making it easy for recruits and students to contact the university.

Introduction
UVic’s WebPhone service provides free click-to-call VoIP (Voice-Over Internet-Protocol) phone calls from our clients on the Internet through our websites and e-mail signatures. This means no more long distance or international charges when calling UVic!

After you click on a WebPhone link the WebPhone client will appear and indicate that it is calling.
An Adobe Flash window will open and request access to your computer’s camera and microphone. In order to hear the call, you must click Allow.
You will then see that the call has been established. To prevent being asked to allow access for future calls, right click on the WebPhone client and click on Settings --> Allow --> Remember.
