Over 10 years Napier Parking has become a respected operator delivering a wide range of parking services to both the public and private sectors of the UK. It has considerable experience and expertise in car park management partnering with clients that include local authorities, shopping centres, managing agents and property developers.With a history of embracing technology and innovation, Napier naturally came to respected industry technology provider Unity 5, the company behind the award winning ZatPark parking administration and management system, to partner them in implementing effective car park management solutions that deliver reliable, efficient and cost effective results.

For the past 6 years Napier Parking has successfully used the ZatPark parking management system and mobile App to support its enforcement operations.

ZatPark Permit Management

After 2 years of operating the ZatPark system, Napier Parking extended their investment by going live with the ZatPark ‘Permit Management System’.

The permit management system enables a wide range of permits and permit schemes to operate concurrently across multiple clients. The permits module is fully integrated in real time with the iZatPark mobile App which is important as this ensures our parking attendants have the most up to date information when making decisions.

James reflects that: ‘This was a simple and logical decision based on efficiency gains and cost savings as we issue approximately 2,500 parking permits per annum across 10 active sites.

ZatPark. Under the bonnet iZatPark, the on-street App

Over the last 12 months Napier Parking’s 32 parking attendants issued 20,000 Fixed Charge Notices (FCNs) across 50 active sites using the secure iZatPark Mobile App on Apple and Android based smart phones.

iZatPark provides comprehensive functionality to street based parking attendants including observation capture, whitelist checking and ticket issue and printing.

Photographs are captured on the mobile devices to provide supporting evidence of the offence. The App communicates with the back office system to ensure that parking attendants have the latest up to date information on which they can make judgments. Immediately FCNs has been issued the data and images are transferred in real-time to the back office system.

FCNs transferred to the back office go through an automated pre-defined recovery path. ZatPark allows the operator to define time periods between various stages in the recovery process. At the start of the process the system will interface with DVLA to request registered keeper details.

 

Once registered keeper details are obtained, and the charge remains unpaid, the system will automatically request a recovery letter seeking payment of the outstanding charge. Further recovery letters can be set up on the system as business requirements dictate.

ZatPermit Client Portal

A client portal, if enabled, allows your client staff to log into and manage their own site permits. The settings can vary for each client as well as differing for each of their sites. From within the portal, the client can manage permit extensions, cancellations, payments and setting up and configuring new and additional permit types. All of the settings can be configured to allow auto-acceptance, or to come through to you and your team for final approval.

ZatPermit Application Portal

The applicant portal allows a user to set up and create a login. This will be required for certain permit type applications. From within their portal an applicant can upload the necessary documentation needed for their permit application, receive messages/correspondence from you or your clients regarding their application process, pay for and manage their permits and include the ability to add additional vehicles to their permit list, if applicable.
