Teachers Instructions:

This is an activity used either at the end of a lesson to test learning or at the beginning of the next lesson to test recall. The resource shows four phrases, three of which are linked and the fourth is not (the red herring). Students must work out the link and which of the four phrases is the red herring.

Background:This activity is specifically designed for students following the Ideologies option for A2 Government and Politics, and allows them to develop and practise the base knowledge of the names of different thinkers for the various isms required.

Starting the Activity:Run the slideshow from slide 1. Allow students to see the purpose of the activity. Click on Click to start. Four fish will swim on to the screen showing four phrases.
