Even now you are experiencing a rigorous, practical education while applying cutting-edge concepts to real-world solutions.

But which road do you take to move from this world to the professional world? It might take a few adventures to figure it out, and you may get sidetracked at times.

You may even decide to change your path.

Don’t worry! There are wizards and mages to aid you in your quest!

Our intrepid hero (that’s you) chose Oregon Tech, in part because you know you can get a great job when you graduate.

In order to leave the walls of your world-class university and venture into those real world partnerships we talk so much about, you need to fill your pack with: • a killer resume• some serious interview skills• a place to showcase your skills that makes employers say “WOW” • And a canteen (because staying hydrated is important no matter what the quest).

No one succeeds alone, so you will need to bring your party along with you to help guide your way and help you gain entry to the castle.

Your faculty and classmates are part of your crew, and Oregon Tech alumni are too. Make sure everyone takes part in your adventure.

You’re not ready to save the princess, or raid the dragon’s lair or even take a full-time job in your career yet.

But you can train and prepare for those final goals by getting some real-world experience. When you get into a workplace (even working on campus) you are going to be richly rewarded!

What treasure will you get? Money (of course), technical skills, professional skills like understanding how to behave in a professional workplace, and also some direction about where you want to go next.

It’s time. You’ve mastered your sword skills (i.e. interviewing) and have had many side quests into the professional world.

Now it’s time to find your next big stepping stone as you make your way through your career pathway. This journey can take awhile! Use ALL the tools available to you.
