This date is typically when retailers are unable to guarantee delivery of presents and plastic gift cards by Christmas, and a major source of anxiety for millions of last-minute shoppers.
To alleviate some of the stress shipping deadlines cause, shoppers can visit the new Click It To Gift It Day website to send highly personalized eGift cards instantaneously via email to anyone, anywhere and in-time from participating retailers. The ability to ignore the shipping deadline in favor of shopping from the comfort of a browser up to the very, very last minute adds two more shopping days for those who need them. Click It To Gift It Day is a one-day, industry-wide digital gifting holiday initiative being championed by CashStar and participating retailer partners.
The goals of the program are simple:
•Raise consumer awareness of Digital Gifting
•Drive incremental eGift Card sales
•Create goodwill and brand loyalty
It’s easy to participate.
Here’s all you have to do to get in on this opportunity to increase your eGift Card sales this holiday season:
• Display the CITGI badge on your website, pointing to your site’s eGift Cardpage. Include a sentence or two of explanatory copy (feel free to use one of the examples provided in the “Resources” section of this guide ... or feel free to write your own!).
• Allow us to include your brand on our consumer-facing CITGI website—linked to your own eGift Card page. You’re also welcome to submit content for the site—gift guides, holiday tips, etc.
• Allow us to include your brand—preferably with a quote—in news releases, social media and other press activities. Where feasible, we’ll also provide a link directly to your site’s eGift Card page.
• You may also choose to include Click It To Gift It in your own print and online promotions, or to participate in joint press opportunities, but these aren’t required.
