2010-11 Ross completed his studies and passed his degree with a grade of First

Class with honours. He now works as an Application Developer at JP Morgan.

‘For my placement, I was torn between Clearswift and Symantec but was swayed towards Clearswift by

their placement project proposal. I was not disappointed. I was placed in a team of perfect proportion,

not too small to be alone, not too big to be just another number. This provided the perfect balance

between the work load and I worked on a wide range of projects from creating small windows services to

working on large in-house built applications. Towards the end of my placement, I was entrusted to work

alone on a few projects with the help provided when needed, giving me the chance to develop my skills

further.

After leaving I applied many techniques and skills learnt on placement to my final year at university in

which I achieved a First Class with honours as well winning Final Year project of the year. I started a

new job 2 days after graduating as a Junior Web Developer. I believe my strong background in

application development through University and placement helped me excel at web development, to the

point where I promoted a lead developer and manager of the web development department after 8

months.

I 100% believe that the success of my Career can be traced back to my placement year at Clearswift in

which I learnt many new skills, perfected old ones and gained first-hand experience of working inside a

successful company

2009-10 John completed his studies and passed his degree

with a grade of First Class with honours. He now works as a

Lead Web Development Manager at Wheelies Direct Ltd.
