Current Classroom Setup Mounted multimedia projectors in 21 out of 23

classrooms (excluding conf. rooms)

Instructor desktops in 19 out of 23 classrooms

Separate network connections for laptops in 13

out of 23 classrooms

(Most classrooms have overhead projectors, VCR/DVD units,

and at least one network connection. One classroom has a

document presenter and two classrooms have smartboards.

Some chalkboards and projection screens need replacement.)

Continual Problems Setup disturbed frequently due to

moved/disconnected equipment

Faculty familiarization with classes that do not

have the same technology

Proposed Standardization

All classrooms will have the following:

Dual Network connections

Mounted multimedia projectors

Desktops with DVD drives

Identical instructor podiums/desks

White boards to replace chalkboard

Note: Software will be standardized with campus wide standardization.

Goal to network projectors for security and remote maintenance.
