interviewing skills with a volunteer from PwC.
Classroom Plus
Classroom Plus focuses on educating students on business and career
skills. Bridging the gap between lessons learned in the classroom and
skills utilized in the workplace, this program brings speakers into
classrooms and provides mock interviews, workplace tours, and more.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
• BestPrep held three Classroom Plus Career Days; hosts included
Cargill, UnitedHealth Group, and Uponor. During this time,
BestPrep served 297 students from nine schools.
• With the help of 270 volunteers, BestPrep conducted Mock
Interviews at 17 schools, impacting more than 1,750 students.
• BestPrep coordinated seven workplace tours giving 200 students
the opportunity to experience the business world in action.
“The program not only gives students a taste of a variety of careers but
also shows them there are different paths they can choose. It is a great
source for professionals to truly help the next generation of workers.”
-Dina Anderson, Optum Volunteer
