My classroom will be a safe place for students, instructors, and guests. Mutual respect is the underlying

foundation of the classroom.

Classroom Expectations

Treat everyone with respect.

Come prepared for class.

We build on the ideas of one another and ask for points of clarification when necessary.

Hate speech is never tolerated.

Classroom ProceduresCome to class on time.

Make up missed work after absences.

Your teacher is available after regular school hours Monday through Thursday, to help you in any way possible; take advantage.

Raise your hand to speak. Everyone’s voice must be heard.

I turn off my phone and keep it in my bag before arriving to class. Please do the same.

Be responsible and look to your classmates to help with missed work. They will do the same for you.

Remember that we will learn the most from each other. Be a good student, and a patient teacher.

ConsequencesIf for some reason procedures are not followed, then the following will follow, in order.

first warning

upon the second warning the student will excuse themselves from the classroom for 10 minutes.

30 minute detention after school

meet and greet with the Principal Troha

Action PlanI will review all the previous items to the students, after we have collectively created a social contract.

A hard copy of the social contract will go home with students as well as a soft copy via email for the parents, and I will CC my administrators.

If necessary the plan will be reviewed.
