ARTROOM.SPACE Classroom Collaboraon fosters a partnership between Art Room and Fort Worth area middle school students and art teachers. The program implements an educaonal structure that brings studio pracce and art-making directly into the classroom. Using TEKS- aligned curricula, Classroom Collaboraon provides room for creave dialogue and discovery as it brings together students and arsts to grow as innovave makers and crical thinkers—culvang a future of visual literacy and a tenacious connecon to a community of culture. This program is free and open to collaborang middle school art students and teachers in the Fort Worth Community. Classroom Collaboration inspires and nurtures a relaonship between students and their creavity by introducing them to mid- career and established makers who have advanced fine arts degrees and/or decades of professional and studio pracce experience. The vising arsts provide experse in creave concepts, working methodologies, and how to sustain a career as arsts. The program enlists its arsts in residence to educate, excite, and mentor the middle school students and art teachers involved. Classroom Collaboraon is a six to nine- week session program offered each fall and spring semester that culminates in a printed catalog and recepon at Art Room honoring the students and teachers. Parents, students, teachers, administrators, and arsts in residence are invited to aend the program’s closing recepon to celebrate the students’ achievements. Curricula and session specifics are decided through a joint effort between Art Room and parcipang schools and art teachers to maximize the benefits of Classroom Collaboraon for the students involved.

Classroom Collaboration fosters a partnership between Art Room and Fort Worth area middle school students and art teachers.
