Computer is divided in to two purposes:

1)General purpose2)Special purpose

General purpose

Those computer used to commonly in our environment or

in our society as known as general purpose.

It means every one can use it.E.g. home, center, college etc.

Special purpose

Those computer used to or made for specific task in any organization.It is very expensive and its huge

memory.E.g. Airplane, weather forecasting

etc.

According to size and capacity

According to size and capacity computers are divided in to 4 parts.

1)Main Frame Computer2)Micro Computer3)Mini Computer

4)Super Computer

Main Frame computerThese computers are very large in size and capacity

used for designing purpose.It is also called main server

because it connect with another's small networks.

Micro Computer

These computers are used for networking purpose,

they are small in size and capacity. Used in

organizations or companies.E.g. Nadra

Mini Computer

It is also used for networking purpose.

Mini computers are very small in size and capacity as compare to Main Frame

computer.E.g. Desktop computer, Laptop

etc

Super ComputerThe world fastest and Expensive

computer.It is used for research purpose.

E.g. with the help of this computer we can get information about

weather, earth quick, or to manage the thousands persons required.
