They are made up of questions with a “yes” or “no” answer. Have a go at sorting these butterflies and moths that you might find in your garden. Method: 1. Cut out each butterfly and moth. 2. Choose one to classify and start with the first question at the top of the classification key. 3. Follow the branches for either “yes” or “no” and then ask yourself the next question. 4. When you have reached the last question, you will know what moth or butterfly you have chosen. Place the butterfly or moth under the name you think it has. 5. Classification Keys are used to sort living things according to their characteristics. They are made up of questions with a “yes” or “no” answer.

Have a go at sorting these butterflies and moths that you might find in your garden.

Method:1. Cut out each butterfly and moth.
