Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital’s mission is “To improve the health of our community through compassion and excellence in healthcare services.” This mission statement guides our work every day as we strive to provide the best possible care to our patients.

We also work to improve the health of our commu-nity by offering a variety of classes, programs and sup-port groups designed to improve people’s health and

wellness outside of our hospital. The offerings range from our Labor of Love classes for expectant parents to a variety of support groups. The majority of our classes and support groups are offered to the community at no charge.

We also work to improve health by supporting a number of community events and organizations. Included in this are the very popular free CPR certification classes we offer. A full listing of the community events we are involved in can be found on page 14.

As a special bonus in this publication, Henry Mayo Registered Dietitian Nutritionists Elizabeth Tarabour and Kim Brown have provided recipes for banana oat muffins for breakfast and a delicious whole-wheat pasta dish for dinner.
