He was a political scientist in Harvard University.

He was advisor in Minister of Defence Army in U.S.A

The best known thesis is Clash of Civilizations.

He wrote it in 1993.

After this article, he wrote a book with same title.

What’s that..

Civilizations is a society in an advanced state of social

development.

Ex. Western civilization, Greek civilization..

It has common values; religion, language, culture etc.

The Major Civilizations Western Orthodox Islamic Latin America Japanese Hindu Buddhist or Confucian African (possible civilization)

According to Huntington..

The great divisions between humankind[1] and the

dominating source of conflict[2] will be cultural.

Future conflicts will originate from clashes between

civilizations.

[1] humankind: the human race, humanity.[2] conflict: a fight, battle, or struggle.

Conflicts and violence will also occur between states

and groups within the same civilizations.

The next world war, if there is one, will be a war

between civilizations

Increase of consciousness[3] and awareness of difference of civilizations

Conflict of the power of the West against Non-Western civilizations

Viewpoints of Huntington People's cultural and religious identities will be the

primary source of conflict in the post-Cold War world. ’’the West and the Rest.’’ Fault line conflicts and core state conflicts.

What about Turkey..According to Huntington; Turkey are derived from Islamic civilization, but..
