New Hampshire, to benefit senior citizens in Claremont and the surrounding
area. This organization enhances networking and provides educational, health,

Recipe of the Month Banana Nut Bread
1/2 cup shortening 1 cup walnuts
1 cup sugar 2 cups flour
2 eggs (beaten) 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup mashed bananas 2 tsp. baking powder
Cream together shortening, sugar, eggs, bananas and
nuts. Add flour, soda and baking powder, mix well. Bake
in greased loaf pan at 350 degrees for 1 hours.
Variations:
1) substitute 1 cup applesauce for mashed bananas.
Add 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg
or cloves. Optional: add raisins.
2) Substitute 1 cup cooked rhubarb instead of
mashed bananas.

socialize. Bring a snack to share and bring your

CHAIR YOGA . . .
class guided by Charleigh Robbalard for an hour
of gentle, relaxing yoga. Class uses chairs to ac-
complish the poses doing just what you can.
However, classes are taking a winter break and
will resume Mon. - Jan. 16 at 10:00 AM in the
Mozden Room. Fee is $5.00 per session.

AARP Tax Preparation Volunteers
Needed An additional volunteer in Claremont
area is needed this upcoming tax season and be-
yond. Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds
welcome. Program sponsored by AARP but you
need not be a member or retired to qualify.
The AARP Tax-Aide program is a won-
derful resource for taxpayers preparing and sub-
mitting tax returns without charge. The work is
most satisfying. If you want to help others with
their tax return, this is the program for you.
Needed are individuals who have some
basic income tax preparation experience to-
gether with good computer skills. Tax-Aide vol-
unteers receive comprehensive annual training
in conjunction with the Internal Revenue Ser-
vice. In Claremont you would work one day a
week during the tax season starting February 1,
2017. If you are interested, call Peggy Mitchell
