Enterprising FridaysMrs Robb’s Walking Group
Even in the snow and cold wind Mrs Robb’s walking group enjoyed themselves. Wrapped up well and with the proper clothes we had a great time. The views were fantastic.
Mrs Anderson’s Group —Working with the Elderly
Mrs Anderson’s group have made links with Alanmart Day Care Centre in Stenhousemuir. The pupils have visited and chatted to the residents, played games and entertained them. Some Alanmart clients have visited the school and been shown around by the pupils. Some also attended our Craft Fayre and Burns Lunch. Ideas so far this term are—organising a daffodil tea, Beetle Drive and playing music requests. Alanmart clients and pupils have benefited from these exchanges.
Enterprising Fridays
Outdoor Education GroupOn the 16th of January a small group went mountain biking to Carron Valley and had a great time on the red single track route. Some of the boys and Ms Mackie managed to ride their bikes down Kelpies staircase which is a difficult section. Everyone also had a great time in the fun park riding over large bumps, berms and camel bumps.

Phones for Schools
Once again, 2R are collecting old mobile phones—even broken ones for recycling. Please ask friends, family and work colleagues to donate their old phones to help us.
Tesco Vouchers
It’s that time of year again, vouchers can be collected from Monday 2nd March from all participating Tesco outlets. We would like to encourage all parents, carers, staff and friends of the school to collect on our behalf. This year Tesco have only one voucher which can be redeemed across a broad range of curriculum resources from ICT to sports equipment.

Careers Scotland
Joanne Stubbs is the Careers Advisor working for Careers Scotland in Falkirk.
She comes in to meet with pupils in the upper school either in groups or individually. This gives her a chance to discuss pupils’ ideas for when they leave school and helps pupils understand what is expected of them in the world of work or full-time education. She is fully aware that parents and carers have a huge influence on their children’s ideas.
If you would like to meet with Joanne you can contact her at the Careers Centre in Falkirk on 01324 620311.
