Tactical situation:
• As a result of earthquake, a five level apartment building has been damaged in the Ialoveniarea.
• The stairs between floors are destroyed and concrete blocks of the roof and walls have fallen. Because of multiple damages to energy lines, a fire has stared in the building. Transport units which were around the building have been affected, the earthquake victims have been trapped in the block. Due of damages to the stairs, a large number of the people remain trapped on the upper floors, unable to escape.
• Some rooms in the basement was flooded due to damages of the utility networks.• An unknown number of people remain under the rubble.• A fire has also broken out in the underground.• Near the building an traffic accident have occurred with a truck which transport the
radioactive waste. As a consequences, around this area have dispersed several radioactive sources.

Module II. Location StraseniLiquidation of the consequences from railway
accident with ammonia leakTactical situation railway accident• The earthquake has also damaged the Chisinau-Bucharest railway line of
international importance, near the Straseni Station.• As a result, a train transporting ammonia containers derailed 200 m from the station
and five rail cars have been demolished, including ammonia and gas tanks. At the disaster site, a fire has broken out, several cars were damaged under the derailed wagons and there has been a chemical leakage. This accident has affected a passenger train which was at the moment in the station, overturning the wagon in which was an unknown number of passengers.
• The chemical cloud, due to weather conditions is moving towards the city. • The people affected are the company employees as well as the people living nearby.
Number of victims is unknown.• The disaster caused a fire in the thermal power plant and the fuel tank caught fire.
An unknown quantity of petroleum products are leaking into Ghidighici lake through river Bîc.

hazardous industrial object.• According to data, 10 tanks of chlorine with a capacity of 800 liters of

substance is heavier than air and will concentrate in low-lying areas, creatingadditional problems.

floodsTactical situation• Due to the earthquake, the dam of the reservoir lake has cracks.
Downstream where more ponds are located, several dams have been deteriorated, thereby flooding partially the area of Vatra settlement.
• Several houses are in the flooded zone and people have evacuated on the roofs.
• There have been reports of missing people and the number of victims is unknown.

Tactical situation
• As a result of the earthquake the hospital block was deteriorated in Ciocana sector of Chisinau municipality.
• The staircases are destroyed, the concrete elements of the roof and walls have partially fallen. A fire broke out as a result of an accident at the energetic network.There were also cars affected, form the nearby building, with victims blocked inside. A great number of patients and medical staff from the upper floors of the building didn’t have the possibility to evacuate by themselves as a result of the deteriorated staircases. Some of the patients can not move by themselves.
• Some of the rooms in the basement were flooded by the deteriorated communal network.
• The number of people under the debris is unknown. • A fire broke out in the basement.• The quake also affected the hospital laboratory, some jugs with chemical substances
are deteriorated and there are leakages registered.
