• Listed in the USC and the Bill of Rights– “no law abridging the freedom of speech….”– Writ of habeas corpus– No ex post facto laws – Trial by jury in state where crime occurred.– No religious test is required to hold office.
A. Freedom of religion
Should the phrase “under God” be removed from the Pledge of Allegiance?
Should there be any interaction between religious officials (priest, rabbi, iman, minister) and public school officials?
Should students be allowed to assemble and pray on school grounds?
Should students be allowed to create and run religiously based clubs on school grounds?
What does the USC say?

When do the police have the right to break up a protest?
Can the FBI request a list of all of the members of an organization for an investigation?
Can organizations (Rotary) bar women or minorities from membership?
