What is Civil Engineering?Civil engineering has been around since the beginning of the 18th century and is the second oldest type of engineering.It is a profession in which one must have the ability or understanding of physics and mathematical concepts. Civilengineering is a professional discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical andnatural built environment. (To get a better idea, it encompasses the bridges and roads we drive on, buildings, canals andmuch more.)
