On October 2, 20 I 0, pursuant to the authority granted by Section 91.1 03 of the Los Ange les Municipal Code, the Department of
Buildi ng and Safety (the "Department") investigated and identified code vio lations at: 10427 West Margate Street, Los Angeles, California (the "Property"). A copy of the t itle report which includes a full legal desc1iption of the propc1ty is attached as Exhibit A.
Foll owing the Department's investigation an order or orders to comply were issued to the property owner and all interested parties. P ursuant to Section 98.04 l l(a) the order wamed that "a proposed noncompliance fee may be in1posed for failure to comply with the order within 15 days after the compliance date specifi ed in the order or unless an appeal or slight modification is fil ed within 15 days after the compliance date." The owners fai led to comply within the time prescribed by ordinance. The Department imposed noncompliance fee as fol lows:

Pursuant to the auth01ity granted by Section 7.35.3 of the Los Angeles Administrative Code, it is proposed a I ien for a total sum of $2,100.89 recorded against the prope1ty. Tt is requested that the Honorable City Council of the City of Los Ange les (the "City Council") designate the time and place protest can be heard concerning this matter, as set fmth in Sections 7.35.3 and 7.35.5 of the Los Angeles Administrative Code.
It is further requested that the City Council instruct the Department to deposit to Dept 08, Fund 48R, Balance Sheet Account 2200, any payment received against th is lien in the amount of$2,100.89 on the referenced property. A copy of the title report which includes a full legal descrip tion of the property is attached as Exhibit A. A list of all the names and addresses of owners and all interested parties entitled to notice is inc luded (Ex hibit B). Also attached is a repmt which includes the current fa ir market value of the property including all encumbrances of record on the property as of the date of the report (Exhibit C).

50 PERCENT COLLECTION FEE FOR A TOTAL OF $1,925.00. Any person who fails to pay the non-compliance fee, late charge and collection fee shall also pay interest. Interest shall be calculated at the rate of one percent per month.
PENALTY WARNING:
