Offer Summer Food lunches in 32 locations:
North, West and Central areas.
Over 125,000 meals served in 2012.

Non-Profit Sites
Serve lunches in a safe and supervised area.
Promote Summer Food
Service Program Place large banners at all serving locations.
SFSP is promoted through local television
several times during the summer program.
Long Beach Parks & Recreation website:
Offers dates/locations of program and daily
menus in both English & Spanish.
Organized Activities
Summer Food Service Program All participating sites are encouraged to promote
recreational & physical activity after meals have
been served.
Youth organized sports, play time, encourage
meeting new friends.

Distribute SFSP flyers to school locations close to the serving sites before the program begins.
Routing
Ensure deliveries are met in a timely manner.
Communication
Provide daily contact with the kitchen are made to ensure the daily paperwork has been turned in by the sites/drivers.
