Green waste Branches must be at 90° to the road with the cut ends facing the road and the end with the leaves facing the property. Length of each piece of timber must not exceed 1.5m nor weigh more than 16kg. Green waste must also be less than 150mm in diameter and have a maximum volume 6m3.
Please place your bins out on the verge by 6am on the day of your collection. The front of your bin needs to be facing the road (wheels should be closest to your house).

The Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Program provides funding for the collection and appropriate disposal of HHW collected at the Waste Transfer Station (Lot 502 Ranford Road, Canning Vale). At this site the public can drop off their unwanted HHW for free, even if they are not a resident of the area.
Unknown chemicals are accepted but must be in sealed chemical resistant containers. The program can only accept domestic quantities of materials (no larger than 20kg/20L per material type).

The above items may instead be disposed of at the Waste Transfer Station. White goods are not included as part of the bulk household junk verge collection. For information regarding our on demand white goods collection service and the Waste Transfer Station please visit our website.

• Gas bottles of any size
• Motor vehicle parts including tyres
• Green waste
• Any asbestos containing material
• Plate glass, such as windows and shower screens and outdoor furniture containing glass.
Green waste material is not to be placed out on the verge more than seven days prior to the commencement date. Only tree and shrub prunings that comply with the following will be removed:
• individual green waste should not exceed 1.5m in length nor weigh more than 16kg
• green waste to be less than 150mm in diameter
• maximum volume 6m3

Please note: The City does not have any arrangements with commercial contractors to undertake private residential green waste pruning. Where residents choose to utilise the services of commercial contractors to undertake residential green waste pruning, it is the resident’s responsibility to ensure they comply with the requirements of the City’s green waste collection.

City of Canning residents can dispose of domestic quantities of recycling, as well as eWaste, such as televisions, computer monitors, parts and laptops, for free.
The Waste Transfer Station also accepts the following types of waste for a fee:
