MEL WINNING LAND

The Pierre-Mauroy stadium is an outstanding facility that represents the ambitions of MEL. This sporting arena, one of the most modern in Europe, has a capacity of 50,000 spectators.

Its removable roof and multi purpose ‘Boîte à Spectacles’ function make it the only infrastructure of its kind in the world, just as able to host Rihanna in concert as the final of the Davis Cup or UEFA EURO 2016.

Opened in 2012, the Pierre-Mauroy stadium is the home of LOSC, Lille’s football club.

International Records : 26,922 spectators attended the semi-final of Euro-Basket 2016 between France and Spain at Pierre-Mauroy stadium, setting a European attendance record for a basketball match.

27,432 spectators attended the Davis Cup final between France and Switzerland.

Free Admission to the Fan Zone The Fan Zone will be the unique place to experience UEFA EURO 2016, with its festive and entertaining atmosphere. You will find catering services on site, as well as entertainment organized by partners.

Fan Zone entertainment The Fan Zone will offer daily entertainment. On the program: zumba, Just Dance, flamenco, disco. Every Saturday and Sunday at 10.30am there will be zumba and body zen lessons.Don’t miss the DJ Battles, Freestyle and other performances.Go to the MEL website to find out everything about activities.

The Fan Embassy (open from 10am to 11pm)The Fan Embassy is the place in the city where fans will be able to get all the necessary information on administrative procedures and receive advice (passport loss or theft, consulate contact details, emergencies, etc.). It will also serve as an informational desk for tourists. Grand’Place (Main Square)The Place of Général de Gaulle is the locals’ favourite place to meet.
