Availability Set

Azure Resource Location High Availability• Each Azure region has at least 5 separate Update

Domains and 3 separate Fault Domains.

• Creating Availability Sets ensures the machines in the set are distributed as much as possible amongst the Update and Fault Domains.

• Create an Availability Set for each delivery group to minimize the impact of an Update or Fault Domain Failure

AWS Resource Location High Availability

• Each AWS region has 3 or more Availability Zones (designated by a letter) to provide isolation. Always choose at least 2.

• Create a subnet in each AZ with routes between them

• Deploy infrastructure components in each AZ

• Consider splitting VDAs for each delivery group across multiple AZs
