• Macromedia Flash Player 9 or higher is required. • Access to the internet using high speed access (Cable, DSL,

Network) is highly recommended for the overall show and is required for all presentations.

• Pop-up blockers must also be disabled and cookies and JavaScript should be enabled.

• It is recommended to view the show with the display resolution of 1024 x 768. To run the system check, click here. On entering the show, a system check is run which will identify computer requirements that need to be addressed to interact with the online show.


Tool Bar

• Home –Takes you to the Cisco Partner Space main landing page. • Who’s Here – Shows you all the partners who are currently logged into the environment. • Profile – Make it easy for others to learn about you by sharing your area of expertise, and a personal

headshot or photo. • Interact – Chat with others, exchange virtual business cards (vCards), or send an email – making

communication easy and one click away. • Briefcase – Users easily download materials to a virtual briefcase. • Conference Hall – All sessions run as audio and/or video webcasts. Attend an upcoming event and

“chat” openly during the presentations with other session attendees. Or view a replay/video-on-demand at any time.

• Lounge – A networking hub that fosters open chat among all users. Feel free to enter and invite others to visit your booth, see a particular session or download materials.

• Partner Exchange – Network with other partners around the world. Find and be found by the right partner company to collaborate with to close more deals. [Partner Only]

• Partner Community –Provides an environment for Cisco and all partners to participate in discussion forums, wikis, and blogs. [Cisco & Partner Only]

• Info – Will take you to our Information Booth were you can get information or chat with live staff to help you with technical issues, questions or comments. Or, email us at [email protected].

• Logout – Allow you to exit Cisco Partner Space.

Provides information on booths, webcasts, documents and blogs that have been added since their last visit

User can also select a date to narrow What’s New activities


Search

Type your key words in the “Search For” field which searches on all user added text Add selected search selections from Cisco validated data to narrow resultsClick on the Search button anywhere within environment to access featureReduce search selection criteria if results are not produced


Who’s HereShows all participants who are currently live in the environmentDisplays the participant’s name, company name, emoticon, and three icons that allow communication through chat, email and vcard

– An icon is also available for adding participants to a buddy list


Profile – Four Standard TabsTerms & Conditions

Profile – Add a Tab (you are limited to 3 customized tabs)

Personalize your profile with the creation of customized tabs

Click on Add a tab to add a New Tab

Click on arrow next to New Tab to begin set up of New Tab


Profile – Add a Tab: Settings

Enter a Tab Title

Select Display Order (1-3) to set which order the New Tabs are displayed. Default is alphabetical order if display order is set to same number.

“Visibility” setting allows you to control access to the customized tabs


Profile – Add a Tab: Layout

Select the tab layout from available options:– 1 Column– 2 Column (50/50)– 2 Column (30/70)– 2 Column (70/30)


Profile – Add a Tab: Content

Once content type is selected (e.g. External Page), click on the Down Arrow button to enter information.

Enter Title and set “Visibility” setting.

Enter content information (e.g. URL) and height setting.

To make any edits to existing content, click on Down Arrow button, put in changes to content and click Save Changes

Double-click on the content type you would like to use


Profile – Add a Tab: Appearance

Select from one of the four colors:– Classic Blue– Metallic– Strawberry– Midnight

Once finished select “Save Tab Settings”.


Profile – Edit a Tab, Delete a Tab

To get back to Main controls for New Tab, click on Down Arrow next to New Tab

To delete a customized Tab, click on Down Arrow next to New Tab, click on “Delete This Tab” and the tab is automatically removed


Audio AlertsThe show uses audio to notify you when certain events occur.

You will hear this sound when you receive a new email, chat request or VCard

New Booth Visitor

When someone responds to a chat request that you initiated, you will hear a sound

A sound is played when a visitor enters your booth (for booth reps only)


InteractCommunicate with Peers, Booth Personnel, Visitors

Communicate by: Chat, Email, V-Card using ‘Interact’‘New’ allows you to send your own Email or V-card, or to initiate a live chat (e.g. Start New Chat button will bring up new display with instructions on how to find a user to chat with)“Buddy List” button allows you to add selected user(s) to your personal “Buddy” listUse ‘Search’ to access the names of Cisco Partner Space users, view their profile, or learn more about an individual. Then initiate contact.


Briefcase

For any file, click on the “Briefcase” icon to save documents to your briefcase

From the “Briefcase”, users can view any document that has been saved and then download files to their desktop

The Reports tab provides a summary of your booth visits within Cisco Partner Space


Conference HallScheduled Webcasts are displayed on the left section of the Conference HallThe Group Chat area (on the right side) supports text chat before the scheduled Webcast – users can provide input on the Webcast topicPost-Webcast, users can return to the Group Chat area to discuss the presentation Access on-demand Webcasts -- click on button to “View On Demand Webcasts”


Networking LoungeInteract with other members of Cisco Partner Space via Group Chat box on right side of Lounge

Your postings are viewable by all members and your name is a hyperlink that opens up your basic profile and any personal tabs you created with your security settings


Info/Information BoothChat with online staff for technical support or information through one-to-one chat or group chat

Find helpful tools and troubleshooting tips within the Information Directory tab listings

Partners with booths and Cisco employees can ‘Request a Webcast’ to host your own event


Booth StaffingStaff: Visitors see active booth staffers (inactive booth staffers are greyed out)

Visitors can chat by clicking on the avatar of staffer and selecting Start Chat. Video Chat option is available.

If a particular booth staffer is not online, the visitor has the option of sending an email or v-card

Use the Booth Guests tab to view the booth’s current visitors.

Click on their icons to view their information or make contact


Booth Group Chat

Engage in a booth group chat

Enables booth staffers and visitors to participate in discussions

Unlike private chats, each user is able to see and respond to everyone, providing great feedback instantly!

Available for Partners & CiscoCollaborate with other partners by using Partner Exchange. Partner Exchange is a trusted collaboration network which enables partners to ‘find and be found’by other partners and Cisco sales personnel. Cisco validated credential data is pre-populated from Cisco’s partner database of record for partner’s Partner Exchange profileEach geographical location is represented per company Coming in May 2009, partner collaboration strategy will be included (managed by company’s Cisco admin)
