If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it .... Face it, friend. He is crazy about you! ” Max Lucado I absolutely love this quote from one of my favorite authors. Many who visit my home often comment upon my somewhat obnoxious refrigerator which is covered with photos of fami- ly and friends. When I have a new one to add it is often an agonizing decision to decide on which older photo to remove, they are all pre- cious to me. I’m sure at your home there are personal photos that adorn your walls, tables and yes even your refrigerator. Some time ago photos of those in our FUMC family were placed on the walls to showcase who we are walk- ing this Christian path with and dis- play ways our family is sharing God’s love. Those photos recalled happy memories, showed that we valued our church family and just gave us something to smile about. Upon coming on staff this summer it was discussed that it was time to update our church home’s photos; time to show the growth and changes that have occurred over the years. As I took on the task I had no idea how difficult it would be to change out the old with the new. Looking at photos which captured our youth at work and play (my sons included) who are now adults pursuing careers, mar- ried, parents and so much more; oh how hard to change those out for the smiling faces of those involved to- day. Yet what joy to see these new pictures filled with happiness as they take part in all our church has to of- fer. Over the coming months I hope to continue to update as we seek to capture every aspect of our church membership. So as you enter your church home you may see new photos, new art- work, new bulletin boards all cele- brating the life of our church. There’s more to come so keep checking us out, because at FUMC we are crazy about each of you! Love my church family!
