Yeh-Shen A Cinderella Story from China

1. Who was the only friend Yeh-Shen had? Her only friend was a fish she had caught and raised. 2. What did Yeh-Shen’s stepmother do when she found out about the fish?? She tricked the fish into coming on to the bank, and then she killed him.

3. What did the old man tell Yeh-Shen to do when she was in need? He told her to kneel before the fish bones and let them know her heart’s desire. 4. What happened when Yeh-Shen told the fish bones she wanted to go to the festival?
