Her day job for the past 25 years has been teaching elementary music to the children of Newport Kentucky .

TED BALDWIN (Keyboard) is proud to play for another CMT show! He is active as a collaborative pianist and accompanist for popular and classical music . He has contributed musical talents to CMT’s productions of Sunset Boulevard, Company, Hairspray, Curtains, Beauty and the Beast, and Follies . Other recent productions include Altar Boyz and Songs for a New World. He is a librarian by day, and directs the Science and Engineering libraries at University of Cincinnati . He sends much love to his partner Dale .

BRAD BENICK(Trumpet) is thrilled to be back under the stage playing trumpet for CMT . The trumpet is the highest register in the brass family . Trumpets are among the oldest musical instruments, dating back to at least 1500 BC . They are primarily constructed of brass tubing, usually bent twice into a rounded oblong shape . They are played by blowing air through closed lips, producing a “buzzing” sound that starts a standing wave vibration in the air column inside the instrument . In physics, a standing wave is a wave that remains in a constant position .

NITA CLARISEY(Keyboard) has served as rehearsal pianist and played in the orchestra for several CMT shows, and she has served on the CMT board . She has accompanied numerous vocal auditions for CMT and other local community theater groups . She has also accompanied many choral concerts for area schools, students participating in OMA contests, and a variety of other vocal and instrumental soloists and groups . She’s enjoying being back in the pit playing one of the keyboards for another great CMT production .

JULIE DEMATTEIS (Percussion) has been playing for over 35 years . She has played in a number of past CMT productions including Gypsy, Curtains, The Drowsy Chaperone, Hairspray, Titanic, and Sunset Blvd. She is at it again and wonders if you in the audience really read these bios or if this is strictly program filler . She would like to thank her wonderful husband/ever faithful roadie for his patience, strength and unending support of her “little” hobby . And in case anyone is wondering, yes, she owns all that stuff she plays!

CATHY SCHANZ FULLEN (Trumpet) has been playing trumpet her entire life . She graduated from the University of Dayton and currently works for a Cincinnati-based Tony Award winning Broadway musical producer . She has played many musicals for numerous community theatres throughout the Tri-State as well as playing in various bands and orchestras . Her first CMT production was Hello Dolly! in 1982 . When not working or playing trumpet, she enjoys life at home with her husband and their many animals .

LISA HOLT (Flute, Piccolo, Clarinet, Alto Sax, Alto Flute), with a scorecard of Dance: Zero; Looks: Three, lurks unobtrusively in the pit for this show . Classically trained as a clarinetist, she has hidden in pit orchestras since the dark

ages while learning to play alien instruments . She is a founding member of the Cincinnati Metropolitan Orchestra and performs year-round with other local groups as well . She has played scores of shows for multiple theatre companies including the Covedale, Showboat Majestic, Fairfield Summer Theatre, Showbiz, Loveland Stage Company, and Footlighters, as well as NKU and other schools . She prefers sitting underneath any stage to sitting on it . If you haven’t seen her somewhere before, well, you really should get out more . If you know how many clarinet players it takes to change a light bulb, you should stop by the pit and tell her so she’ll stop asking .

ED HUGHES(Trumpet) is the founding president and CEO of Gateway Community and Technical College, in Northern Kentucky . He served as president at Hazard Community and Technical College for 16 years . In his alter life he’s simply an aging rocker! He can be seen as a founding member of Suits that Rock, a benefit concert held annually for 6 years to support the Carnegie Center in Covington and monthly as part of Lees Junction Big Band . His pit orchestra experience includes CMT’s Titanic the Musical, Beechmont Players’ Annie and Brieabi’s Oklahoma .

CHUCK KLEESATTEL(Bass Guitar) is happy to be playing bass again for CMT . Marvin Hamlisch has been a favorite since 1963’s earworm, “Sunshine Lollipops and Rainbows” . Retired from music teaching, Chuck finds great enjoyment playing for musicals in the greater Cincinnati area . He lives with his wife Amy and waits for his children to call on the phone . Recently the vamp from “One” has been stuck in his head, another earworm . Thanks, Marvin!

FRED MARTENS(Bb Clarinet, Eb Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto Sax) is immensely pleased to grace the orchestra pit in this CMT production . Audiences have all applauded after hearing

him in productions by Footlighters, Fairfield Theatre, Brieabi, Loveland, Beechmont, Mariemont, Showbizmont, Falconmont, XU and NKU theaters . Fred turns classical with the Lebanon Symphony, Cincinnati Metropolitan Orchestra, and oompahs on clar/sax with Squeeze Play (the coolest accordion band)! Winning two Orchid Awards for his CMT graphic design work has not gone to his head, but he REALLY hopes you like his graphic package for this show . He sends hugs to his entourage: Moxie the office cat, and Warren the Wonderful life partner .

SARA POWELL (Oboe, English Horn, Tenor Sax) is the musical equivalent of the flu: she just keeps coming back around year after year . Local musical theater credits include Company (CMT), Miss Saigon (Loveland Stage Company), My Favorite Year, Little Women, Cinderella (NKU), Ragtime (Xavier U), and Sweeney Todd (Footlighters) . She is a network engineer by profession and likes to scuba dive and ride motorcycles in her spare time . Sara lives in Western Hills with her husband, son, and their three cats .

ALYNN ROUSSELLE (Percussion) is so excited to be playing with CMT in A Chorus Line! It’s her sixth musical . Alynn earned a percussion performance degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music studying under Prof . Allen Otte as well as Prof . Rusty Burge and Prof . Jim Culley . Her pit credits include musicals Legally Blonde: The Musical, The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Hello, Dolly!, Spring Awakening, Oklahoma!, and numerous operas . She wishes all involved, especially her orchestra family, the best of luck! Enjoy!

KEN THORNTON (Trombone) grew up near Baton Rouge, Louisiana and has been living in Cincinnati since 2008 . He studied trombone performance at Louisiana State University with Larry Campbell . Upon graduation he continued with his studies at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music with David Vining and Peter Norton . In addition to numerous university ensembles, he has appeared with the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, Acadiana Symphony, Gem City Jazz Ensemble, and with the Blue Wisp Big Band .
