Foreword
Since its foundation in August, 2000, Chinese International Economic
Cooperation Association (also known as CIECA) has been exerting tremendous

trade and investment relations between Taiwan and friendly countries have been
significantly strengthened and substantially expanded. Currently, CIECA maintains
bilateral cooperation mechanism with more than 100 counterpart organizations in
some 90 countries. On average, CIECA holds around 20 to 30 joint business
councils meetings (JBC) both at home and abroad together with counterparts each
year. With a view to keeping in touch with relevant parties and counterparts, CIECA
will issue a monthly news letter featuring joint meetings, seminars and important
activities organized by CIECA recently. We sincerely hope that the information
provided through our news letter will keep you abreast of CIECA’s latest operation
and development, thereby facilitating mutual understanding and promoting further
cooperation between our two organizations. Your kind attention and comments will
