CHURCH VANDALISM INVESTIGATION Chicago, Illinois October 15, 2019 DETAILS The Federal Bureau of Investigation's Chicago Field Office is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the person responsible for vandalism and other potential crimes in Chicago, Illinois. On October 15, 2019, at approximately 1:30 p.m., an unknown White male subject attempted to gain entry to the Lincoln United Methodist Church on South Damen Avenue in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. After being informed that the church was closed, the individual began kicking the locked glass doors, shattering both. When approached by employees, the unknown subject made statements identified as racist in nature and performed a gesture described as a Nazi salute. The unknown subject is described as a White male, approximately 30 to 40 years old, with close-cut brown hair and a slim build. At the time of the incident, the subject wore a long black coat, dark pants, and dark shoes. He was accompanied by a medium-sized white dog with a curled tail.
