Whose Fault Is It? 1 John 1.8-10

    Finding salvation

Where can salvation NOT be found?

It is not found In deceit, in cover-up, or in hiddenness of the real situation.

    Where can salvation be found?

It can be found in the truth of God who is light.

Light reveals but it also cleanses and heals.

Light opens the wounds of life to the sunshine of Gods love.

It opens life to Gods judgment .

This is where salvation must be found.

There are problems associated with staying closed, covering up, and hiding.

We are still stuck with wounds that are not healed by Gods love.

    Consider Gods marvelous grace .

He meets us right where we are.

    Understanding the role of confession

    What is it?

Confession means not having to start all over.

The point of failure becomes the point of immediate confession.

We must open our life to God through confession .

We have an advocate. (1 John 2.1)

These things I write to you, so that you may not sin . And if ...

Suddenly, into the realities we face in our fallen world, comes an advocate !

He comes not at the point of achievement , but at the point

    of failure .

Christ our advocate is on our side !

Will you lean on Him today?
