Most Holy and Immaculate Virgin, Help of Christians,
we place ourselves under your motherly protection.
Throughout the Church's history you have helped
Christians in times of trial, temptation and danger.
Time and time again, you have proven to be
the Refuge of sinners, the Hope of the hopeless,
the Consoler of the afflicted,
and the Comforter of the dying.
We promise to be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ, your
Son, to proclaim His Good News of God's love
for all people, and to work for peace and justice
in our world. With faith in your intercession,
we pray for the Church, for our family and friends,
for the poor and abandoned, and all the dying.
Grant, O Mary, Help of Christians, the graces of which
we stand in need. (Mention your intentions.)
May we serve Jesus with fidelity and love until death.
Help us and our loved ones to attain the boundless joy
of being forever with our Father in heaven. Amen.
Mary, Help of Christians, pray for us!

parishioners who have not yet had the opportunity to sub-

We need your help! We are providing
Christmas gifts for the residents of Swann,
ages 8 to 75. With each name there is a

There is a Christmas tree in the back of the church with
names and some information on each person for whom we
would like to provide a gift. You can also get a name from
the Parish Office. Please drop off the gifts in the office by
Tuesday, December 4th. Questions? Call the Parish Of-

A priest of this diocese, Venerable Archbishop Fulton
Sheen encouraged people to spiritually adopt an unborn
child, and thereby combat the abortion mentality and
general anti-life sentiment in our world today. It is said that
although the identity of the child you pray for will be
unknown to you during your earthly life, there is every hope
that you will be united with that child forever in Heaven.
Archbishop Sheen wrote the following daily prayer to
spiritually adopt an unborn child: “Jesus, Mary, Joseph, I
love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the
unborn child that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger
of abortion. Amen.”

S W SCRIP is a rebate fundraiser that supports
Holy Cross School families with tuition costs. We invite
everyone to participate in this great effort. Simply register
at shop.shopwithscrip.com.
Purchase a gift card at face value for places you already
shop. Then 50% of the rebate is applied to your family’s
account in July. The accumulation of rebates is applied to
the following year’s tuition.
Also, do you have an 8th grader who will be attending STM
next year? The rebate can be applied toward his/her tuition
as well. If you do not currently have a student enrolled, you
may direct your rebate to support the school, a specific
family, or the PTC. Scrip is always available for purchase
in the Parish Office during regular office hours.

As Catholics we firmly believe that God has a plan for our
lives! He calls some to marriage, some to the priesthood,
and others to religious life. Some remain as generous sin-
gle people. Fully living our own vocations—and teaching
young people how to discern God’s call—is a serious duty
but also a joyful one.
Today begins National Vocation Awareness Week. Please
pray about how God is calling you to live your vocation
more deeply.

We received a lovely note and donation from a family hon-
oring their deceased mother. That was very special.
Latest News: We wired money to a mother and her family
so she could attend her grandmother’s funeral. We took a
mother and her youngest son to lunch. He was saved from
abortion and is the light of this family. We gave donated gift
cards to a deserving Mom and delivered diapers. We also
have a new family we will help.
Need: Kitchen items, linens, etc., for the woman who moved
here from out of state. She is now looking at apartments!
Want to help more? Please purchase gift cards for Sam’s
Club, Amazon, Target, Aldi, Walmart, CVS or Walgreens.
We use those gift cards to purchase diapers or other
goods. Drop off at Holy Cross office.
Interested in helping the poor in our midst? Contact Joy at
359-8406 for more information. And God bless you for
wanting to help families in need!
