Prayer for Making All Things New
God our Father, through the Gospel and the Sacraments, You bring us together as Your Church in the Archdiocese of New York. Send us Your Holy Spirit, to enlighten our minds and guide our actions as we plan for the future of parish life in this Archdiocese. Help us learn new ways to strengthen and revitalize our parish communities, and to be good stewards of the spiritual and material gifts that sustain them. Bless our work, so that our parishes may continue to witness to the truth of the Gospel, and be a sign of Your love for all people. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Richmond Senior Services Richmond Senior Services offers a number of ser-vices for Seniors. Access to Home helps renters or homeowners with disabilities who need accessibility modifications—wheelchair ramps, stair lifts, widening of doorways, security alarms for the hearing impaired, and more. To qualify, you must have a permanent disability or frailty due to age that makes daily activities difficult. Total household income cannot be more than 60% of the local median income (or 120% for veterans with service related disabilities). RESTORE (Residential Emergency Services to Of-fer Repairs to the Elderly) helps cover the cost to homeowners who are 60 or older and whose house-hold income, like Access, is no more than 50% of the area median income. Repairs under this program include leaky roofs, plumbing, heating systems, and windows. There is a $5,000 limit on repairs per home. Moderate Repair Program helps seniors or those with disabilities by covering the costs of smaller re-pairs that can still be challenging to those on limited or fixed incomes, such as toilet, sink, or faucet re-pairs, window pane replacement, installing locks, or tiling or re-grouting bathtubs. This program is funded by Northfield Bank Foundation. Minor Repair Program for seniors (60 and up) and those with disabilities. This program focuses on small, interior repairs that are health or safety-related, such as installing grab bars and battery-powered doorbells, toilet mechanism replacements, changing light bulbs, putting up or taking down smoke detectors, and other repairs that seniors or those with disabilities cannot make themselves. Funding is provided by the Staten Island Borough President’s Office. The Office for Richmond Senior Services is now located at 729 Delafield Avenue. The phone number is 718 816-1811. You can also contact them at [email protected]. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
