The Norton Ministry is still accepting donations. For those who may not be aware, the Norton Ministry is a ministry which collects all sorts of household items: anything from

furniture, bed linens, clothing, dishes, towels, lamps, appliances etc. These items are then taken, once a year, to Norton, a small town in Wise County VA. Wise County is the most impoverished county in the state as well as one of the top three in the country. If you have anything you’d like

to donate, please call Kathy Renigar @ 757 376-7160. The generous folks at Hampton Roads Moving and Storage

will be transporting our donations in mid March (approximately the 19th). Help will be needed to load things into the trailer on Sat., March 16. (Time will be determined later) When the trailer leaves for Norton

anyone who’d like to can also travel to Norton. This is an excellent opportunity to see where the donations go and

meet the people who run the Family Crisis Support Center. Please watch the bulletin for more details and specific date

and time as the time draws closer.

“The Church of the Second Chances” is a small group program of JustFaith Ministries that introduces participants to people in prison and extends

the possibility of real relationships. Through the lens of the Christian faith, this module explores common misconceptions about people in prison and how such misunderstandings have shaped our sense of responsibility. We will be offering the “Church of the Second Chances” program at The Church of St. Therese in Room 6 on Tuesdays beginning 2/26/19. There will be a daytime session from 9:00-11:00am and an evening session from 7:00-9:00pm for you to choose. Select a session that is most convenient to your schedule. If you would like more information or would like to register to join this small group, please pick up a registration form on the bulletin board in the Commons at St. Therese or call/email Jean Hawley at (757)488-2553 or jhawley@sttheresechesva.org. All participants must be registered BY 2/18/19. Cost for materials is $26.00.
