From the pastor….

Today’s Word – the 1st reading recounts the beginnings of the Israel-ite Monarchy and how Saul’s life is spared. The 2nd Reading com-pares Adam and Jesus. The Gospel challenges us to love and pray for our enemies. Through role-playing, help your family find ways to love others when it is difficult. Encourage each family member to be on both sides of a scenario in which one person is rude and the other acts in a loving way. As a family, brainstorm different things the loving person could say or various ways they could react to the difficult situa-tion. Come up with some specific phrases that would be helpful to have on hand when trying to love those who are being hurtful. Next Sunday’s Word - Sirach 27: 4-7; 1Corinthians 15: 54-58; Luke 6:39-45. Thank You Regina McCollum-an opportunity to express our gratitude to Regina will be next Saturday (March 2) evening at 6 p.m. in the Gathering Space of the Church. You don’t have to attend the 5 p.m. Mass to participate in this farewell. Regina’s last day as our Church Secretary will be Ash Wednesday, March 6th. Regina has done a great job and certainly will be missed. Administrative Assistant/Part-time Church Secretary needed – 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position requires a dependable individual with people skills; proficient in computer skills (including experience with Excel), and bookkeeping.
