THANKSGIVING INTERFAITH SERVICE This year we are the hosts for the
Interfaith Service. We will be joined by
First Church of Christ of Woodbridge,
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints, Congregation B’Nai Jacob and Trinity
Evangelical Free Church. This is a beautiful way to gather as believers in the God
who bestows blessings upon us. We urge all
parishioners to attend the service on Monday,
November 23rd at 7:00PM at Our Lady of the
Assumption Woodbridge. Following the service the
Ladies Guild will host a reception in the Parish Center.
Assumption Ladies Guild is once
again having a White Elephant room
at our Holiday Bazaar on November
14, 2015. Popular items include kitchen items to artwork, jewelry to small furnishings are accepted. In the past, toys and dolls have been big sellers. We appreciate all donations. Drop off items in the Church
Hall on the pews near the stage at any time until 6pm

THIRTY-SECOND SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
!!!!
We welcome to God’s family through the Sacrament of Baptism REGHAN ANNE WINSLOW, daughter of Jeffrey & Lauren Winslow. We rejoice with her parents
and offer our prayers of support as they begin the
awesome task of raising their child in the Catholic faith.
The expectant parents who wish to have their child baptized are asked to call the rectory at 387-7119 to prepare properly for this joyous celebration. Attendance at the pre-baptismal program conducted by the parish staff is required. The Archdiocese of Hartford mandates this
program prior to baptism. Baptisms are held on the first and third Sundays of each month. Please call Denise at the rectory to register.
The Social Action Committee would like to extend a huge thank you to all who attended our recent fundraising breakfast. Many parishioners donated gorgeous theme baskets; men from the
parish cooked a delicious breakfast; the children's choir, under the direction of Keith, sang beautifully; and children were able to enjoy a craft project. Our attendance was at an all time high, which gave us the monies needed to provide food baskets to the needy in our community. Once again, thank you for your attendance and generosity.
CHRISTMAS BAZAAR AND CRAFT FAIR Our Lady of Assumption Ladies Guild is currently looking for unique vendors and creative crafters to join us for our Annual Christmas Bazaar and Craft Fair. The event is Saturday, November 14, 2015, from 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. The location is 81 Center Road, Woodbridge, Connecticut. Applicants may obtain a crafter agreement form at www.assumptionchurch.com or by contacting Kathy at 203-816-7755 or at [email protected].
Table prices are $50.00 for a 6-foot table space and $75.00 for a corner or a double space, for a total of 12 feet of display area. The Christmas Bazaar and Craft Fair benefits the Guild’s Scholarship Fund and other financial contributions of the ministry.
LADIES GUILD MEETING
All Ladies of the Parish are invited to
attend the Meeting of the Ladies Guild
on Monday November 9, 2015 at 7:30pm in
the Gonzalo Docal conference room of the
Rectory (lower entrance).
We will be making final plans for the
Christmas Bazaar and Craft Fair on Nov.
14. A new event called "Fish Fry during
Lent" and plans for the "Ladies Day of
Reflection on Feb. 27" will be dis-
cussed.

SOCIAL ACTION ANGEL TREE
DECEMBER 2015
The Social Action Angel Tree Campaign will begin on November 7th and 8th this year. The Christmas trees will be set up in the vestibules of the Mother Church and the
Center Road Church with the angels. On the front of the paper angel will be the age and sex of the child and the spe-cific gift needed (if requested). On the back will be the date we need the presents returned in a holiday gift bag.
This year, we need the gifts returned by Sunday, De-
cember 6th. Be sure to attach the paper angel to the gift
bag!
There are six organizations in and around the Woodbridge/New Haven area with needy children and families who will receive our donations. They include needy families in the Our Lady of the Assumption parish family, St. Francis/St. Rose Schools, pre-schoolers in Woodward-Ross School and Clinton Avenue School in New Haven, teacher wishes from St. Martin de Porres Academy in New Haven and BH Care in Ansonia.
Gifts will be sorted on the weekend of Friday, December 11th–13th in the church hall with the presents distributed around noon on Sunday, December 13th.
If parishioners of any age would like to help sort/match/
assemble the gifts, we will be at the church hall on Fri-
day morning, December 11th from 9:00 am until noon. The final sorting will be on Sunday morning, December 13th from 9:00 a.m. to noon. For Confirmation applicants who need to earn hours for community service, this is a great opportunity! We would greatly appreciate ANY time you can provide!!
The campaign is headed by Anne McDonnell (203-393-
3164), Nancy Slugaski (203-828-6273) and Nancy Coffey (203-305-2048). For any questions or more information, feel free to contact one of us!
Thank you for your generosity, once again!
If you love me you will hold to my words and my
Father will love you and will come to you.
Where does God come to you. If God is coming
to you and asking you to discern a religious vocation.
