On Thursday May 23,

2013, a very special

event took place in the

life of the Archdiocese

without a lot of fanfare.

It was the graduation at

the Seminary Saint

Charles Borromeo of 13

students that persevered

through three long years

to arrive at that precious

moment.

It takes a lot of dedica-

tion and love of service

to finish a long day of work and embark on two and a half

hours of Church studies, during cold, hot, snowy, rainy, sun-

ny three-long years, to be better prepared to serve and enrich

the Church.

Kudos to all of you!

Archbishop Chaput was present at the ceremony as well as

Bishop Timothy Senior, the University Rector, among other

personalities. We were also joined by Sr. Carmen Cabrejos

and Laura Mantilla, program instructors. Thank you for your

presence.

At the end of the ceremony the graduates and their guests

were treated to a very nice reception, courtesy of the Semi-

nary. A very nice day, indeed and very well orga-

nized.

El jueves, 23 de mayo del

2013, un evento muy es-

pecial tuvo lugar en la vi-

da de la Arquidiócesis

sin mucha fanfarria.

Fue la graduación en el

Seminario San Carlos Bo-

rromeo de 13 estudiantes

que perseveraron a través

de tres largos años para

llegar a ese momento pre-

cioso. Se necesita mucha

dedicación y amor de ser-

vicio para finalizar un lar-

go día de trabajo y embarcarse en dos y media horas de

estudios de la Iglesia, durante fríos, calientes, nevados,

lluviosos, soleados tres largos años, para estar mejor

preparados para servir y enriquecer a la Iglesia.

¡Bravo! a todos ustedes.

El arzobispo Chaput estuvo presente en la ceremonia

así como el obispo Timothy Senior y el rector de la uni-

versidad, entre otras personalidades. También se nos

unieron la hermana Carmen Cabrejos y Laura Mantilla,

instructores del programa; gracias por su presencia.

Al final de la ceremonia los graduados y sus invitados

disfrutaron de una recepción especial cortesía del semi-

nario. Un día muy especial y muy bien organizado.

day from Church Ministry Institute (CMI) program. CMI is

an adult formation program imparted at Saint Charles

Borromeo Seminary; Ministerio Eclesial is the Spanish ver-

sion of CMI, offered in the parishes by the Mobile Catholic

Institute.

It consists of three years of Church studies, ending with

a certificate of completion issued by St. Charles and re-

ceived on graduation day at the Seminary. For more in-
