OPERATING REPORT AS OF MARCH 31, 2015
Dear Friends,
Below is Dan Schwartz’s introduction to the work of developing a new Master Plan for our facility based on our vision to be a people who “Follow Christ’s Path Together” by enviting, em-bracing, enriching, engaging and evolving. This scripture Sun-
day is the disciples hiding in fear and then encountering the risen Christ. What fears do we have as a congregation as we look to the future? I will share some of our fears and hopes this Sunday. Beyond fear, Larry
Building Master Plan Committee Formed
As a result of the visioning process, Church Council established a Building Master Plan Committee whose goal is to help people become Disciples of Christ by preparing a plan that identifies the compelling needs for long-term usage of SAUMC facilities, proposes solutions and costs, and receives buy-in from the many stakeholders within our church family. All church facilities are included in the scope of study with particular focus on the Sanctuary, Kitchen, Nursery, Fellowship Hall and Storage areas.
The work plan includes gathering input from the congregation through sched-uled/structured forums and also via informal discussions and exchanges. You are encouraged to engage committee members to share ideas and ask ques-tions. Members are: Debra Arce, Shawn Graves, John Kaylor, Dana Leader, Dan Schwartz (Chairperson), Brenda Steed, Celia Stockton, Doug Warren, Marsha Williams.
