Antioxidant products (OPC-3, Antioxidant Formula, Isochrome) might be beneficial forthe severe inflammation and ulceration in the intestinal tract. I am not sure what her bloodiron level is, but she may be losing some blood by way of the ulcers, so a product such asMultiTech could be used to help replenish her iron level. The extent of absorption of macro-and micronutrients is probably limited by the inflammation of the intestine and ulceration, soMultiTech could provide a good delivery system for getting extra mcronutrients to herintestinal epithelium for absorption. The co-enzyme Q10 in Isochrome has been reported tobe beneficial for the repair of stomach ulcers---I don't know whether that effect would transferto intestinal ulcers. Evidently, she had the lower foot of small intestine removed which is theprimary site of vitamin B12::Intrinsic Factor complex absorption. Crohn's disease is characterized by a chronic and long-lasting ulceration of a section orsections of the digestive tract. The ulceration extends through all layers of the intestinal walland involves the entire digestive system, from the mouth to the anus, as well as the adjacentlymph nodes. The inflamed parts heal, leaving scar tissue that narrows the passageway. Thisdisorder is not contagious. Its cause is still uncertain, although it's known that a history of foodallergies increases risk of developing it; conversely, eliminating allergenic foods often relievesthe symptoms. Studies also suggest that free radical damage may be involved, and that alack of vitamin C and E may play a role. To help with the damage from free radical I wouldsuggest that they try OPC3 and B12 is important for proper digestion and to prevent anemia,and vitamin C to prevent inflammation and improve immunity. Aloe Vera helps to promotewound healing (the zinc in aloe vera known for healing), regulates cell growth, and reducesinflammation and pain. I found all the information listed through the manual and a book called"Prescription for Nutritional Healing" by: James F. Balch, M.D. and Phyllis A. Balch, C.N.C.

The last few years have been hard for me, health wise, and I feel obligated to sharesome incredible products with you that have helped to change our lives. I have had Crohn'sDisease since I was sixteen years old. Crohn's Disease is a disease that attacks the digestivesystem of the body and can infect anywhere from the mouth to the anus. I had been quitelucky with it until a few years ago when I suffered from complications of the disease resultingin removal of 32 inches of my small intestine with Laposcoptic surgery, and the repair of anabscess fistula. It would take me pages to explain what it has been like for me living with thisdisease so all I will say is that my body especially my rectum, seem to be slowly deteriorating.There is not much we know on how you get this disease, but it may be hereditary. My bowelmovements are frequent and usually in the form of diarrhea. I have Crohns Disease and finally got a formal diagnosis in November of 1999. Mysymptoms started in October of 1996. It had gotten to the point where I could hardly leavemy house, due to not being able to leave the bathroom. I had to quit my job. (One of many)Staying home and being stress free helped. I saw a lot of doctors in that three-year time

span. I had heard it all, seen it all, and each one of them had done their wonderfulcolonoscopies, x-rays and those wonderful tests they have for diagnosing intestinal diseases.

After my diagnosis in 1999 I was put on prednisone and tried about every other drugout there for Crohns. Each one of them brought a complication in one-way or another. I wasbecoming steroid dependent. I did not care because at the time it seemed like that was theonly thing that gave me some control of what was going on with my disease. I watched mydiet; I tried to exercise when I was not totally exhausted. It was hard to live everyday life. Imissed out on a lot of things, fun things with family, friends and my husband because of myCrohns causing so much havoc. Thankfully my husband is a great support system and tried

to understand to the fullest what I had to go through just to make it through the day.Finally in 2002 I made the decision to go to Mayo Clinic and see some of the best

specialists in the world that deal with this disease. By that time my veins blew every time theytook blood or tried to run a test. The steroids had constricted my veins so bad they were notfunctioning well anymore. It was decided that I needed surgery to buy me some time untilnew drugs would hit the market because I had exhausted all choices that were available todate. Two weeks before Thanksgiving I underwent 6 centimeters of my small bowel beingremoved. It was the worst recovery and surgery that I had ever been through. I sat on mycouch on Christmas Eve with the shakes and sweats as I went through withdrawal from thesteroid taper. I felt like a junky. I would not wish it upon anyone to have to go through that. Ittook a solid 3 months to get back on my feet with many setbacks along the way.

I took it upon myself to start seeking out natural supplements and more dietintervention, since traditional medicine was not working and the surgery hardly made anydifference. I was still in the toilet most of the day and I have a young daughter who neededme to be there for every part of her life. Believe me I wanted to be there as well and be abetter wife etc. So I started trying this product and that product. To say the least I had spenta small fortune and nothing really worked. My friend had been fighting a problem with his colon for eight to ten years. His generalhealth was very poor.
