It has been a great experience with UWSB. The journey with

UWSB taught me a lot. It helped me to enhance my knowledge

and polish my skills and I thank each and every member of

UWSB for all their support. The place also gave me a lot of friends with whom I

am still connected and am planning to have a joint venture in future. So, UWSB

is not only about getting knowledge but also a place where you meet same

minded persons. Since my time at UWSB I have founded a company named

Finheal Finserve Pvt Ltd (along with my elder brother Aditya Shankar) which is

situated in Dwarka, New Delhi and we can be found at www.finheal.com. I wish

all the incoming students happy learning.

Anand Shankar, PGDM 2013-15, Co-founder, Finheal Finserve

Aneri Shah, PGDM 2014-16

The first day when i entered the college I was very excited to meet new friends, to learn new things. These two

years of my college life gave me the best moments of my life which i can never forget. I learnt so many things

along with my studies and I never expected that there would be such changes in me by the time I leave this

college. The support from my faculties was very good which made me comfortable to discuss any problems

which I had.

Today when I am in a job, I miss my college days a lot. No doubt the company where I am working is very nice

but still my PGDM days were the ones when I enjoyed my life fully. There are countless memories of college days … we attended

lectures, sometimes bunked classes, had fun sitting on the last bench. Also that college pals are friends for life.

I wish the incoming students all the best

Bhumika Bunha, PGDM 2014-16

After doing Bachelor of Commerce I was not sure if I had made the right choice of joining the PGDM program. But

UWSB faculty and courses surpassed my expectations. They are truly world class, the kind of quality you can expect in

any top international MBA school. I am glad I made this choice. The infrastructure here is amazing and more over I

have achieved my dream job from here i am really thankful to all my friends, teachers, staff and higher management

for helping me throughout my college life.

Deep Mukherjee, PGDM 2014-16, S&P Global Market Intelligence

It was not easy for me to leave my home town Kolkata and start a new journey in Ahmedabad. I was scared about this migration but excited as well. It was a great feeling when I landed in this green city with lots of hope and dreams in my eyes. I consider the time spent in UWSB as the most valuable experience in my life. This two year experience in college has given me a chance to sharpen my skills in my field of choice. In addi-tion to learning practical skills, UWSB has also taught me a lot about the industry scenario and market

trends.

I always believe that incredible things can be done simply if we are committed to making them happen. I can remember the day when I got selected in SNL Financial (now known as S&P Global Market

Intelligence). I was so happy and my parents were very proud of me. Placement makes one feel independent and personally I felt truly like an adult. UWSB inputs and the placement at an S&P company shaped my overall personality and gave me an opportunity to discover myself as an individual.

For my juniors at UWSB I think ‘now’ is the most important time to build their success bridge. You might face some problems, some barriers but never give up before achieving the goal. I believe that if every individual dreams, and puts in efforts for the same, no matter what the circumstances life lands you in, you can come out of it with flying colours. You are so lucky that you have got the wonderful faculty team and the beautiful campus of UWSB. I think this experience will definitely lead you to reach out your destination. Ultimate success is waiting for you. So start enjoying the life and go ahead. Do not try to be the best, just do it. All the best …

Deepak Maru, PGDM 2014-16, Tata Capital

It's said that success is the sum of all small efforts, adding more courage with each steps. I realized this fully when looking back at how the time I spent at UWSB led me to my job. As I had dual specialization in Finance and Marketing and my chance of getting placed was open to either sector, it was Finance that drew my interest. My hard work and patience and unconditional help from my professors, especially Namrata Ma’am & Himanshu Sir, paid well and I got placed in TATA Capital, a company beyond my expectations! With a new position, comes great responsibilities and I am excited to move ahead and explore this journey. I wish all new students at UWSB to also have an equally successful journey.

Ipsita Maitra, PGDM 2012-14, ACS Group I feel blessed having the opportunity to write this up for the UWSB Chronicle and future stars of Unitedworld School of Business.

I am a PGDM graduate from UWSB – Ahmedabad, specialized in HR (Major) and Marketing (Minor) from the batch 2012-14. I am currently working as Senior Recruitment Associate with a reputed technical and staffing

solutions company of USA named American Cyber System – Global Tech Solution based at Noida – Stellar IT hub.

UWSB is a rapidly growing institution for those bright students who have the craving to fulfill their dreams of a successful life. UWSB has a set of proficient faculty members in every managerial domain to bring out the

strength and shape the best out of you. It provides quality education in midst of serene beauty which rejuvenates your mind to come up with the best in you and boosts your confidence to reach a level of excellence through various activities, discus-sions, presentations, sports, cultural activities, case studies and many more innovative ways keeping pace with the changing corporate world.

Coming from a technical background I always had an urge to pursue management in HR field and USWB has given me that platform and opportunity to come up with what I always wanted to be. UWSB has played a major role in shaping my career and I wholeheartedly thank the management and institution’s faculty for guiding me to be a polished HR professional man-aging recruitment, for major clients in USA like Microsoft, Exelon Energy, Bank of America, Staples, Walmart, UPS, Capital Group, Dell, Fujitsu, Lockheed Martin and many others across different domains like Electrical/Mechanical, Retail, BFSI, Apps, Software, Hardware, Energy sector & Logistics.

To all UWSBians who are yet to join and those who are already a part of the PGDM program, I would only like to advise that life is all what we make of it. So it is important to have a clear and focused goal for what you want to achieve in life and short terms plans help to be the stepping stones towards its accomplishment. One needs to be determined with a strong will power, confident of making mistakes to keep learning and growing, and a fearless attitude towards the hurdles of life to wave off weaknesses. You cannot appreciate the flavor of victory without having encountered your share of failures.

I am sure with more batches passing out, we UWSBians are going to fill vibrant colors to the UWSB rainbow for it to shine brighter.

Jaya Lalwani, PGDM 2014-16

When I joined Unitedworld School of Business at first I thought that I made a tough decision. I was thinking how

will I be able to survive in this college for two years but the college proved me wrong. These two years were the

best two years of my life. The faculties are so much supportive and they make you feel so much comfortable. I miss

all the fun we used to have in college and even getting scolded for coming late to class! UWSB helped me to

enhance my professional skills. If ever asked to make a wish, I would want to relive my two years in the college.

Proud to be an UWSBian.

Jyoti Chanda, PGDM 2014-16

Study of Management is more than placements and high packages. It opens paths to trans-

form several things which we do not even realize. Like everyone, when I entered UWSB many

things came across my mind. The first day of school has the biggest impact on the way it

eventually turns out in the future. The most important skills one can acquire in a business

school are the abilities to adapt, interpret and learn. I would say that PGDM is a brilliant exper-

iment which probably knowingly or unknowingly we do with our life. In all honesty, this PGDM

has changed my life and I am sure it has been so all those who believed in themselves. UWSB

has given me the opportunity to become more independent and to take on new responsibili-

ties and hence I became more mature which helped me to grow in my character. UWSB has given me the chance to reinvent

myself without a doubt. The beauty of PGDM is that it transforms people from one-track backgrounds and gives them

passion to talk and act in new ways.

Since the day I stepped in inside UWSB, it has added many colorful pages to my journey and now it has became the part of

my life. I miss my classes, my friends; the faculties are just blessings to us. UWSB life is real fun; I celebrated every festival

and enjoyed every event whether it was supporting our sports team in the ground or my friends supporting me to fulfill my

promise to make a successful event. The academic body and faculties always supported me in every event whenever I want-

ed them. And how can I miss to write about my hostel life at UWSB, which is the best part of our growing up days. The

bitter-sweet memories of the days gone by always bring a smile to my face.

Now I am in the real corporate world, having been placed at IDEA Cellular Limited which is a part of Aditya Birla Group. It

makes me proud to say that I am an UWSBian. My message to the juniors at UWSB is: never lose faith; be a good person

in life; always follow your dreams; don’t blame others for your deeds; and, always keep learning because the more we learn,

the more we grow and make our parents proud.

Rajan Srivastava,PGDM 2014-16, JK Tyre Unitedworld School of Business offers a right mix of academic and industry inputs which has helped me in confidence building and obtaining the marketing skills. I am short of words to thank entire family of UWSB and am overwhelmed with the kind of support I got. I specially thank the institution for its excellent placement support and getting me placed in JK Tyre. I wish all students of the incoming batch the very best.

My heartiest welcome to PGDM Batch 2016-18! Welcome to the world of UWSB! Entering the gate of UWSB is itself a proud moment and once in, you will carry life long memories which will be cherished all through your life.

Friends, live each and every moment that you going to have in UWSB. Do what you know is best for you. Have fun, work hard, make friends, fall in love, and make some memorable trips because once you are out you are going to miss each and every moment spent there. And friends, to be very honest, these two years of yours is going to be a turning point of your life. However in-spite of everything, have your main focus on your career as in the end your career will be all what is going to matter. Try to get the best package of all things.

All the best! Have fun!

Rajbir Singh, PGDM 2014-16, Coal India

Thank you so much UWSB. Currently I am working with the government sector company Coal India Ltd at Bokharo in Jharkhand. I welcome the students of PGDM Batch 2016-2018 to the UWSB family and wish them all the best.

Raveena Trivedi, PGDM 2014 -16, GIDC

Just like every new student, I was feeling apprehensive as well as excited when I joined UWSB. In no time however, I got familiar with the environment and culture of UWSB. I found the students and the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The college has a great reputation for results and success and this is due to the staff and the set up. The teachers are very motivated and helpful and they focus on what is im-portant. By the end of two years I could consider the teachers to be my friends.

Life as an UWSBian was one of good routines, hard work and determination. The school has regular assessments which aim to help students and the teachers provide feedback and constant motivation which is lacking in many other b-schools. Besides a great faculty and an amazing diversity in the peer group, the major USP of the college is, it let’s you be what you want to be.

I wouldn’t regard myself as particularly intelligent by any means but with some hard work, determination and focus I achieved a very good position in the GIDB (Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board) to look after branding of major Governmental poli-cies. I am not writing this testimonial for any personal gain but I do feel that I owe this College a great deal. I welcome the new batch of UWSB and wish them all the best for their future endeavors.

The Editorial Team wishes all readers who celebrate their

birth anniversary during this quarter

May the early morning sun

Shine on your birthday.

A gentle breeze caress you,

As you go along life’s way.

We wish you wealth and happiness

As the day comes into view,

And may each hour be blessed

With friendships fond and true.

May your dreams all be fulfilled;

You achieve your every goal;

And at the ending of the day,

May peace touch your heart and soul.
