Christmastime Is Friendship Time

At Christmastime our hearts reach out To friends we think of dearly

And checking through our friendship lists, As all of us do yearly,

We stop awhile to reminisce And to pleasantly review Happy little happenings

And things we used to do, And though we've been too busy

To keep in touch all year, We send a Christmas greeting At this season of good cheer. So Christmas is a lovely link Between old years and new

That keeps the bond of friendship Forever unbroken and true.

We attempt to keep information current in Tower Talk, but due to printing constraints and time lines, late breaking information may not be included in the latest publication. As a general publication guideline, articles will be included if submitted by no later than the 15th of the month prior to the month of publication. Please contact John (809) or Karl (608) for further information.****************************************************

A thank you goes out to all of the volunteers that help out with the Morning Coffee Hours that do such a great job, and also Tootie, who is in charge of the coffee hours and for everything she does.

Thank you to Maggie for all she does to decorate the Community Room, and also to the rest of the volunteers that assist her. We are looking forward to see what they have planned for the Christmas Season.

Thank you to our maintenance staff for all they do to make living in Kingsboro Towers more enjoyable.

Thank you to everybody the helped out to set up our Thanksgiving Dinner, and also to Audrey Mendetta for catering our special dinners.

Thank you to everyone that make our weekly Bingo Games possible: the callers to the ball droppers, and especially the volunteers that make the coffee.

As a courtesy to your fellow tenants, please return shopping carts to the Community Room when you are done with them. This way there will always be a cart available when you want one.

Who Said It?

Each of these phrases is a quote from a Christmas song, TV show, movie or story. Can you remember which Christmas character said it?

"Bah Humbug"Ebenezer Scrooge in Charles Dickens' 1843 novel: A Christmas Carol

"Don't you cry, I'll be back again some day!"Frosty the Snowman

"One can never have enough socks. Another Christmas has come and gone and I didn't get a single pair. People will insist on giving me books."Dumbledore in J.K. Rowling's, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

"Maybe Christmas," he thought, "doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas...perhaps...means a little bit more!"The Grinch in How The Grinch Stole Christmas

"I never thought it was such a bad little tree. It's not bad at all, really. Maybe it just needs a little love."Linus Van Pelt in A Charlie Brown Christmas
