Day 2 | Arrive in Frankfurt / Travel to StrasbourgUpon arrival in Germany we’ll clear customs and board our deluxe motorcoach. Our drive will bring us to the town of Strasbourg. Here we board the festively decorated Amadeus MS Imperial ship. Tonight we'll enjoy a welcome cocktail, followed by a gourmet dinner. Meals: D

Day 3 | Strasbourg / City TouringWake up refreshed and enjoy a fine breakfast. Take an optional driving tour through the surrounding countryside this morning or relax on the ship. In the afternoon, we’ll take a motorcoach tour of Strasbourg followed by a walk through the Old Town, where some of the charming, half-timbered houses are 500 years old! We will also be able to experience the romantic ambiance of the Christmas market before returning to the ship and setting sail for Germany. Meals: B, L, D

Day 4 | Heidelberg / Speyer Walking TourEarly this morning we'll arrive in Speyer, one of the most important cities of the German Holy Roman Empire. From here, we’ll journey to the old imperial town of Heidelberg, which looks particularly charming this time of year. We'll visit the stunning ruins of the Heidelberg Castle. Then, take a stroll through the enchanting Old Town and explore the Christmas markets. After returning to the ship for lunch, we'll have the option to enjoy a tour of Speyer or explore their beautiful Christmas markets. Meals: B, L, D

Day 5 | Rüdesheim / KoblenzArrive in Rüdesheim and, after a generous breakfast, start exploring this picturesque town. This area forms the southern gateway to the Middle Rhine Valley. We'll enjoy a walking tour of Rüdesheim and a visit to the Music Cabinet Museum. Rejoin the ship and continue to Koblenz during lunch. We'll sail through the scenic Middle Rhine Valley and pass the mysterious Lorelei rock, which is associated with countless legends. This afternoon, discover the romantic town of Koblenz during an included tour. The festive Captain’s Gala Dinner awaits us this evening. Meals: B, L, D

Day 6 | Cologne City TourEarly in the morning, we'll reach the metropolis of Cologne. Enjoy a relaxed and generous breakfast before saying goodbye to the crew and the ship. We’ll tour by coach this morning in Cologne, which was established back in the first century and thus offers an amazing showcase of history, architecture, and culture. The afternoon and evening is available for your personal leisure. Explore the famous Christmas market or visit the famous Cologne Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Meals: B

Day 7 | Cologne Chocolate Museum / FrankfurtThis morning we'll visit the Cologne Chocolate Museum before departing town. Today’s journey will bring us full circle back to Frankfurt. Here is found one of the best Christmas markets in all of Germany. The elaborate and creative stand decorations and the scenic surroundings of St. Paul’s Square combine to also make it one of Germany’s most beautiful. We’ll enjoy a farewell dinner tonight in celebration of our festive experience. Meals: B, D

Day 8 | Travel HomeOur journey winds down as we transfer back to the Frankfurt Airport to board our flight back home. We have seen much this past week and found some new friends as well. Along with great memories, perhaps we’ll bring some of the old European Christmas traditions to make our own. Meals: B
